Having sampled the pizza on one occasion and some of the rest of the menu, very recently, pizzas definitely are their strength. Various dishes, such as the lamb skewers, or the calamari, to the chicken salad and scotch fillet, were not consistently good. The best of these was the calamari - tender and tasty, while the worst was the chicken. Whilst it was reasonably tender and not chewy, there was hardly any flavour, the coating made it feel dry and it was drizzled with what looked like balsamic vinegar. Marrying it to a green salad, was wrong; a much better salad could be something with semi-dried tomatoes, spinach, zucchini and lightly sauteed onions and capsicum. The other meat dishes were fair, at best, with the lamb skewers missing out on flavour and some pieces being too gristly, while the steak was overcooked. The arancini balls were quite good, so no complaints there. The waiting staff were quite friendly but slow, at the same time, with plates and bottles being tardy to be cleared. Requests, for some replacement items, we're fairly quickly dealt with, though and setting up the birthday cake went smoothly. There is too much discrepancy in quality, between the wood-fired oven pizzas and on the surface of it, the other menu items. Maybe the pasta...
Read moreWe contacted 377 two days before we had a function, in which we required 14 pizzas on a Saturday at 6pm. They are not classic Napolitano pizzas, they are a cross between pizza romana and pizza Napolitano and I think they are great. Not soggy and wet, but nicely cooked and slightly crispy. Compliments to the pizzaiolo!!
All in all, the service and overall experience was fantastic and it made an old nonnas 80th birthday a...
