Food was for the most part great, arancini was absolutely amazing, gnocchi was good too, service staff were also really great. Unfortunately my medium rare eye fillet steak came out blue, still being cold in the centre. At this point I'd already sliced off a couple of pieces of the steak and after they had fixed it and brought it back, I only received the bigger part of the steak back and not the other bits I'd sliced off. At that point just make me a new steak if presentation is an issue... Or give me back my slices. After the steak returned it still wasn't medium rare and the centre was still very rare. At this point I just let it go and ate around it but for $46 I really expect better than this.

When we talked to the staff about this experience, we were left with a lot of apologies but no offer of a discount or anything was made to make us leave a little happier. We asked if the chefs use a meat thermometer and were told they do, but this can't be true because the centre of the steak was literally still cold. It wasn't warm, it was cold. It isn't that difficult to cook the perfect steak every time when a meat thermometer is used. Being an upscale restaurant I would expect that to be used to ensure perfect steaks are being served EVERY time. Looking at previous reviews it seems this is a recurring issue as well.

Look I don't expect to have the perfect steak at a pub or somewhere the eye fillet is $30, but it was $46. When you charge that kind of premium for food I expect a higher standard. That's a lot of money for a single meal and it left me quite disappointed and hungry. If they had either given a 50% discount for the steak, or even just cooked a new steak, I'd have left a lot happier. Unfortunately no effort was actually made to make sure we left satisfied and that's really disappointing considering we spent $150 there...

I’m a bit late leaving this review but my boyfriend took me here for lunch for my birthday on February 1st! After having a very average start to the day (lots of tears), we met here for a surprise lunch. We were sitting outside. I would say it was relatively busy, there was a large party of people also outside but a little way away from us, and it wasn’t too noisy at all! A lot of restaurants you go to now are so loud you can’t even hear the person next to you, but Berth has a great layout with the tables not too close to each other. Katelyn (I hope I spelt that right) was our server and she was honestly amazing!! Super friendly, bubbly and attentive, I think Katelyn was one of the best servers we’ve had! So thank you!! I absolutely love oysters, so couldn’t resist starting with those which were lovely. I couldn’t decide out of two mains so Katelyn recommended the swordfish. Such a good choice! It was cooked beautifully and was just the right size to leave me bit hungry but not too full either. Definitely recommend! My boyfriend got the chicken saltimbocca and ate the whole thing (this is a huge compliment as he is usually a strictly chicken parma guy lol). The mash was creamy and delicious. At the end of the meal, Katelyn brought out a little scoop of ice cream with a sparkler. I don’t know if this was my boyfriend or Berth’s idea but it honestly brightened my day so much and I really appreciate the kind gesture. We will...

I booked Berth for a work event where we hosted nearly 100 guests from some very important accounts and association. My experience at Berth was nothing short of sublime! From start to finish, everything was a breeze, and the team went above and beyond to make our event a triumph.

Anna, Dan and their colleagues on the night were simply amazing! They were polite, efficient, and incredibly thoughtful. I'm so embarrassed I didn't catch all their names, but one moment truly stood out: When the team was serving canapés, I jokingly mentioned I shouldn't have gluten. A few minutes later, one of them actually sought me out in the room upstairs to offer an off-menu, gluten-free beef sandwich! His initiative and gesture were so impressive and touching, it really made my night!

Our guests loved the food, service, and ambiance so much. Our team received countless compliments about the delicious food, the dreamy ambiance and location, and the impeccable service.

Huge congratulations to everyone at Berth! Special thanks to Anna for making the planning and site visit so smooth, and to Fei/Fay for her lovely service when I came in the afternoon to do a bit of work.

I've experienced excellent service in my line of work, but Berth truly raised the bar and knocked it out of the park. I have nothing but praise and sincerely hope to return, both personally and for future events. Thank you for an...

Hard to fault the outlook from Berth over the water and back towards the cbd as the sun goes down. We kept with the nautical theme and ordered mostly seafood tonight and enjoyed it all from the gin cured salmon to the turmeric mussels, the spaghetti marinara to the Morton bay bug risotto. The menu had some great cocktails, an interesting beer selection and tempting desserts too. My favourite dish was the Moreton Bay Bug Risotto which had a big bold flavour and excellent texture while Kellies favourite was the Spaghetti Marinara which was a lot more subtle in flavour of herbs and olive oil. We were so full from entree and mains that dessert seemed too much but eventually decided on a trio of sorbet (lemon being my pick of the three). There were other more substantial dessert items that someone with a bigger appetite than me should seriously consider taking on. The service was friendly and efficient tonight. There were some big work groups in with us but the waiting team and kitchen did a great job keeping up with demand. There are good reasonably priced night parking rates close by too although the free trams to the cbd are only a little walk away. A really great destination restaurant and you should definitely ask for a table with a view or consider sitting outside if the weather is warmer.

Absolutely outstanding! Right from day one, the level of support we received was nothing short of incredible. A special shoutout goes to Darren, the event manager extraordinaire. His professionalism and extensive experience were truly remarkable, and his genuine passion for his work shone through. Thanks to him, I was completely stress-free when it came to the venue. The menu tasting was a delightful experience. The dishes were not only delicious but also beautifully presented, and I must extend my compliments to the talented chefs responsible. We had the opportunity to sample the dishes exactly as they would be served to our guests, and the feedback from all our attendees was overwhelmingly positive. Darren's flexibility was a true lifesaver. When my schedule faced unexpected delays, he proactively communicated and ensured each plate was delivered flawlessly. His dedication extended until the very last minute of our event. Moreover, the entire team exhibited exceptional politeness and warmth. I can't express my gratitude enough. This experience was truly remarkable, and I'm thankful for their outstanding service.
