I have been a loyal customer of Brunetti on Flinders Street for years and have always had great experiences there. However, I can't say the same about their Melbourne Domestic Terminal Airport location. Today, I went in excited to try a hot chocolate and éclair, but unfortunately was served by someone who seemed clearly unhappy with her job. The server, Anne-Marie—a blonde woman appearing to be in her mid-60s—showed a poor attitude from the start. When I greeted her politely and asked how she was, I could immediately tell she wasn't in a good mood. As I tried to order an Italian hot chocolate and an éclair, she abruptly cut me off mid-order. I felt terrible! Her attitude was entitled, rude, and disrespectful, and I noticed she treated other customers the same way. Airport travelers deal with enough stress without having to face this type of customer service. This level of rudeness is unacceptable. Brunetti, please improve your standards when hiring front-of-house staff.
PS: Food and beverage was good as usual and doesn’t represent this bad behaviour...
Read moreThe team at this Brunetti need to receive some basic customer service training! At 5am we asked what time they open and she rudely responded with 5:15am. While customers build up, are impatiently waiting and walking away the team are making coffees for themselves and dragging their feet. I mean no one even looks up and simply smiles. The lady who served first was quite nice, she should perhaps train the others. But the trust was already broken. Perhaps you should open at 04:30am like the other cafes in the airport. We sat around waiting and watching, there were at least 20-30 customers that could have purchased here. But they walked away. Not your typical Brunetti experience. Bring your team from Lygon Street here. Don’t turn into your average cafe… because we...
Read moreGreat coffee and girl serving coffee had great personality and smile even though busy. Food ordered and they had gluten free- Unfortunately, the other staff need to brush up on food allergies. The well sealed GF sandwich that was toasted was put on communal used toaster and communal used tongs. I said something to girl and then she put on bake paper to separate. I explained this could make me really sick if cross contamination. I brushed off the toasted sandwich and hoped ok....was hungry, and was airport standard expensive. 27h of flying and following........suffered.
Great place so I urge them to tighten up their practice. Coeliac is not a little allergy but an auto...
