The American Express Centurion Lounge is the epitome of luxury and comfort, providing a sanctuary from the hustle and bustle of travel. My recent visit left me thoroughly impressed, particularly by the outstanding bartenders and exceptional food offerings.
From the moment I walked in, the ambiance was inviting and elegant. The lounge’s design is a perfect blend of modern chic and cozy relaxation, making it an ideal place to unwind before a flight. However, it was the service and amenities that truly stood out.
The bartenders at the Centurion Lounge are nothing short of amazing. Their expertise and creativity were on full display as they crafted exquisite cocktails tailored to my preferences. Each drink was a work of art, both visually stunning and delightfully balanced in flavor. Whether it was a classic cocktail or a unique creation, the bartenders demonstrated a level of skill and passion that elevated the entire experience.
Equally impressive was the food. The menu offered a diverse range of gourmet dishes, each prepared with the utmost attention to detail. The quality and freshness of the ingredients were evident in every bite. From delectable appetizers to sumptuous entrees and decadent desserts, the culinary offerings were on par with some of the finest restaurants. It’s clear that American Express has invested in top-notch chefs who are dedicated to providing a memorable dining experience.
The combination of exceptional bartenders and outstanding food makes the American Express Centurion Lounge a standout among airport lounges. It’s more than just a place to rest; it’s a destination in itself. I look forward to my next visit and highly recommend it to any traveler looking to enhance their journey with a touch of luxury and...
Read moreAmerican Express, you should be ashamed of yourself! I was actually looking forward to spending time in this lounge after having made frequent visits to your SFO and LGA lounges. However, this lounge is not up to the American Express Standard. Granted there are only 4 guests in the lounge at this time but why would anyone choose to come here. The food items have obviously not been replenished all day. The bread was stale, the pasta salad was nearly empty and dried out, the rice that accompanied the hot food selections was crunchy and dry. And then there is the bar! Let's just say, it is bare bones. At first I was told that the white wine selections included Pinot Grigio, but when I ordered that, I was told that Pinot Grigio is only available at the Plaza Premier Lounge next door. I was offered Reisling instead. Although I ordered a Reisling, the wine tasted more like Chardonnay. I guess in the minds of the servers, white wine is all the same. The white sofa in the back seating area was covered with blankets which made me feel like I was in my Grandma's basement. There are two leather sofas but nowhere to charge devices. Along the walls, there are several cubicle type chairs for individuals which have charging built in. There is also only one television. In the other room where the food and bar are located, there are booths with tables and chairs and islands with stools. On top of one of the islands is a jar with generic brand supermarket cookies. Retrieving a cookie from the jar is the equivalent of playing an arcade crane game. My real suggestion to you, American Express, is that it would be better if you had no presence in this market rather than damage the reputation of the brand with such a...
Read moreLounge at Melbourne Airport with access for Amex Platinum cardholders and annual passes as a perk with other Amex cards. It is split into a dining area and a lounge area. The lounge area has seating primarily designed with solo travellers in mind with some nice private seats a bit like airplane suites. It looks great. However, with a very loud hum (presumably from the air cooling) in the dining area, and no natural light throughout, there is unfortunately a bit of oppressiveness of the environment that the interior design cannot make up for. I was also surprised to find that the hot food options were quite meager and unappetising. I noticed dishes offered were the same as in the adjacent Plaza Premium Lounge that runs both lounges, but the Plaza lounge offered a wider range. Drinks options were notably sparse and basic (e.g. spirits were Bundaberg rum, Famous Grouse whisky, Canadian Club, Courvoisier VS, a gin and something else). If I was travelling on my own and craved quiet and a powerpoint, I might have seen value in the secluded seating in the lounge area. But, travelling as a couple, my partner and I decided not to stay as we intended and headed elsewhere. Overall, I wanted to like it, but it was just...
