My wife caught COVID a couple of days before our scheduled departure and as a result, we could not fly home. We were given the option to rebook or cancel the flights as part of Singapore Air's COVID policy. The earliest they could get us on another flight was 3 weeks later, so we opted to cancel our flights and rebook with another airline.
After cancelling over the phone, we were directed to fill out an online form which advised that the COVID cancellation policy meant that cancellation/no show fees would be waived. We were advised that it could take up to 6 weeks for the refunds to reach our account.
I never got an email confirmation after filling out the form, so a few weeks later, I called to check that the refund was indeed being processed and was advised that they had not records of a cancellation request. After a bit of back and fourth, they lodged the refund request again.
6 weeks later, I called to check on how it was going and I was advised that the refund request had not been lodged. Again, I requested it to be submitted and waited another 6 weeks.
My insurance company needed the refund amount in writing and since I had not received any emails to advise the refund status/amount from Singapore Air, I called to request this. Again, I was advised that no refund request had been lodged...
Fast forward about 6 months after our cancelled flights, we receive a refund, minus a $500 cancellation fee, which was a surprise as we were advised that we would not receive a cancellation fee. As of today, I'm still advised that the team is 'still working on it' and this all started in June 2022.
It's been exhausting trying to communicate with Singapore Air and I've found the customer support staff to be very blunt, argumentative and they often interrupt me mid sentence. It's unfortunate as we have had really pleasant in flight experiences with Singapore Air however their customer support has been a...

The food selections are not as grand as in the Singapore Silverkris Lounge, but the food is good to eat, and yes, the vegetarian food is much better than on the plane. The drinks and wine selections are also good.
The seats are really comfortable and get to go in the lounge earlier as I checked in earlier. In between the flights, the attendants in the lounge work swiftly to make sure the lounge is cleaned, topped up, and the toilets are cleaned before the next batch of guests come in.
Each table has a power socket to let you plug your power adapter to recharge your electronics devices.
The WiFi speed is good, I can connect my phones and tablets, but unfortunately, my Windows based laptop fails to connect, and my phone tethering also does not do not work. I guess it could be my firewall rules that do not allow me to connect in public WiFi, but it works well in Singapore Silverkris Lounge.
The lounge is divided into 2 sections, the food section and group seating section. The group seating has access to TV, and food sections do not have one but are darkened to catch some rest.
There is a unisex bath room.
The only letdown is that one of the sinks in the male toilet is choked. If you ever lift the cap, the water flow is still slow, and yes, it needs a...
