CAFE FADUCCI — Restaurant in Melbourne

IInitialy the customer service was friendly and welcoming.

I ordered a strong skinny latte and it was really tasty. The latte art was well done and the price was alright.

This was a big improvement on my last visit and I'd be happy to go back again.

If your in Box Hill, near the shopping mall, this cafe is definitely worth a visit.

Previous review - March 2019 I called in here for a coffee and my partner had a fresh orange juice.

The service initially was really quick and before we knew it the fresh orange juice had hit the table.

After that I had to wait for nearly 20 minutes for my strong skinny latte and I think it was only served after I asked the waitress where my coffee was.

Unfortunately my coffee wasn’t strong which was disappointing after having to wait that long. I’m not sure if I was charged for a strong skinny latte but I suspect that I was a the bill wasn’t cheap.

When I think of an eggs Benedict with ham, I think of nicely toasted sourdough bread with shavings of ham off the bone topped with poached eggs and lashings of Hollandaise sauce.

Now I got most of that, just not the ham off the bone, it looked rather unpleasant to be honest, it was just slices of delicatessen ham.

My dish came with edible purple flora but I think that was OTT considering they couldn’t provide a desired ham experience. Now I’m no expert when it comes to cafe dishes but as a Brunswick local, I have high expectations when it comes to cafe meals.

The coffee and customer service was sublime and the eggs were perfectly poached but the bread toast tasted a bit tough.

Disappointing experience; & I'm usually very forgiving in my encounters. Waiting with 2 toddlers to be attended to, & I had to seek assistance; and when I did, I was met with long faces and a negative tone. The menu shown online is out of date. They don't have a live kitchen in action - only coffee and quick grab-n-go breakfast now. The menu shown on Google is outdated. The change in menu would've been fine with me if it had been explained with much less attitude - I'm sorry I disturbed your coffee making. A simple explanation with a smile would've left me with a much better impression. Perhaps their coffee is good - I wouldn't have a clue as I didn't want to stay one second longer in that company.
