It really sucked that I had a wedding engagement party today and I called in saying that I would be racing over to try and get some before they closed. They said they had 40 left, but for some reason couldnt put any aside for me. Got there 2.55pm and they were all gone. Like literally I had already called in and told them that I'd be coming and the girls there just smiled and said maybe next time. Honestly, it's really put a sour taste in my mouth and makes me really upset. Maybe it's just my fault for not going earlier, but had a million other things to organise. Just thought a little sympathy for my case would've gone a long way. But my backup is Laurant Bakery which are open till 6pm and have a variety of tarts. Not exactly the same, but still a lovely gift for anyone who is looking for something like this. Also ended up getting something from the Cookie Dough Co at Northland near Gong Cha which is a super pretty...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreLove your tarts guys. But you should really advertise what you will be charging people for. I did see 1.4% on your register and I was fine with that.
I paid for 6 tarts for $27.89 ($25 +$2.89 extra fees). I figured it was probably a 10% weekend surcharge and 1.4% credit card surcharge. I am sure you are making a good profit on self made tarts and there is probably no need to do that. Even to get a bad review which I have noticed a similar trend with other dissatisfied customers feeling ripped off from a money point of view.
Begs the question. Why is it when you place an order online, it is just a flat $25. But visiting your store and doing takeaway order you get charged extra!! As a walk in customer, this would have to be the easier order to fulfil and there is also no need to provide table service.
Just something to bring to your attention if you want to improve on...

REVIEW: A delicious Portuguese tart. It somehow maintains its thin, flaky, crispy exterior without shattering or crumbling in your hands. As others have mentioned, it's not too sweet so you can have more than one!
There's seating inside and a couple of tables outside if you wanted to catch the sun. The door is just wide enough to fit a 2 seater pram (I impressively watched it go through!). From an entertainment perspective, there's a window to show the staff preparing the tarts; from piping in the filling to taking out the tarts. Staff also take into consideration whether you're dining in or taking away, with the appropriate packaging to match. Whether that's customised tissue paper lined on a round dish, or a box/ paper bag to take away - casa nata have put thought into the delivery of the tarts which is much...
