Croissanteria — Restaurant in Melbourne

Look no further for the best croissants in Melbourne!! Made in-house, I couldn't fault their airy and light texture and crafted flavours.

With playful and innovative creations, mostly on the sweet side, my favourites had to be the creamy Mango Brûleé tart for its mango compote and cheesecake cream, caramelised like a classic brûlée, and the housemade raspberry jam in the Peanut, Raspberry Choc Croissant. The Coconut Cookie was another clear winner for its white chocolate coconut ganache.

Heavy in size and loaded with filling, these were everything but heavy in texture, and so incredibly easy and delicious to eat. And no lines and a place to sit and enjoy is definitely an added bonus compared to some more famous croissants that come to mind in the CBD.

They aren't cheap though and unfortunately, for the price, the focaccias lacked in depth - for example, some bacon or an egg added to the Caesar would see a big improvement.

For me, it was the crispy, delicate layers of pastry with the signature honeycomb cross section which is my indicator of a sign of a decent croissant. _ Situated conveniently inside Crown Melbourne (directly opposite village cinemas), this beautiful French bakery is creating freshly baked croissants, both savoury and sweet creations. Choose from a classic plain or pain a chocolate, or go more adventurous with their creative flavours such as the almond blackberry or a savoury sausage roll croissant or mushroom swirl croissant. _ There are also a selection of focaccias too, plus coffee is top notch. _ We tried the following pastries: 🥐 Plain croissant 🫐Almond and blackberry croissant 🥜Raspberry peanut croissant 🍄 Mushroom croissant 🐷 Sausage roll 🥪Mortadella focaccia ☕️Cappuccino 🧃Beetroot carrot cold pressed juice _ I would highly recommend this place for a visit as the croissants are the real deal here.
