Venue was very pretty and drinks were nice, however that didn't make up for the quality of the food or service. Ordering through the QR code was easy, but it took a long time for the food to arrive (our booking was for 1.30, wasn't seated until 1.45 and didn't eat until 2.40) and it was cold when it got to our table- I can understand that they would have been very busy but if my food comes that late I expect it to be fresh, not like it's been sitting on a counter for 20 minutes waiting to be served. The chips were ok but cold and the quesadillas cold to the point where the cheese wasn't even soft anymore by the time I ate it.
I paid for a dip I didn't get as there was no one to ask for it on the roof where I was sitting when I realised it wasn't with my meal. Every time we asked for water, it's like we were forgotten about and had to ask numerous times. There was also a PIECE OF WIRE in my quesadilla. From a safety perspective if I had swallowed that by accident I could have choked or worse. It's not like I was met with any sympathy by staff either. They did refund for the quesadilla, but for something that could have ended so badly I expect much more than (a completely unapologetic) 'oh it was from the brush that cleans the grill, sorry' and $18. I would not want anyone else to go through what I did.
Lastly, running on a booking system (vs walk ins), surely you would be prepared for the amount of orders to prepare in each sitting. I can't imagine what the venue would be like at full capacity considering how long we had to wait. Unless they fix up their service and food I definitely won't be returning. There are other businesses on Chapel Street whom I would much...
Read moreThe food is bland and the service is lame. Wait staff were not friendly. When we were seated we were offered water or sparkling, sparkling came nearly flat.
Ordering is done via smart phone - during check out you are required to enter an email address and then it recommends tipping. Also an extra surcharge for paying via card how else can I order if you don’t accept cash?
It’s $5 extra to add black beans and $2 extra to add jalapeños to an already over priced $18 quesadilla that is “grilled” in a toasty press. Servings are not large - just four regular slices of quesadilla with some kind of red salsa which you’ll desperately dip into just to add any spices to your meal. Pork had no flavor, but they did add some canned pineapple - woah now it’s Al Pastor! No hot sauces on request or sour cream. Chips are over salted and undercooked.
This place is a vanilla millennial trap. Looks fine on the outside but is actually just a total rip and run with...
Read moreWorst experience I have ever encountered.
I booked a few days in advance online for 6 guests on Friday 21st February for 8.30pm, which was accepted. They also stated online they open until 10pm, so thought there would be no issue.
I get a call just after 8pm to ask If I could come in earlier and They close at 9pm.
To which I responded that we couldn’t come before 8.30pm, and that I thought they open until 10. I was then told I would get a call back. Which I didn’t.
I then called again at 8.20, to ask if it was ok that we still come in, and why they were closing at 9, when it clearly stated 10 online and they had accepted my booking prior. I said 30mins is not enough time for us to have an enjoyable dinner for 6 people.
They stated it was because it was quiet! I asked to speak with the Manager, which they said wasn’t there, and then asked for one of their names, to which they then just hung up. Shocking service, and...
