You can usually tell how good a place is by the patrons. Today, a big breakfast at The Grocery Bar which was bubbling over with people. The queue was about five deep but my o see of eggs Benedict with ham and a hot chocolate was at my ‘table for one’ in under ten minutes. The serving was generous with two English muffins, cut in half so there was plenty to eat. Eggs cooked well and again a generous serving of ham. The patrons were varied - a mother with her toddler in a high chair, a family of 5, a couple, business attired people and an elderly woman doing the crossword. This is why I travel. This is what makes reviewing enjoyable. I get to watch how humans interact and sometimes I strike up a conversation with people who are often grateful for the chit chat. As I left I could see a line of coffee cups, both disposable but amusingly resueable, all in different shapes and sizes and colours. The word is out - reuseable cups! Staff were fabulous. Fast and efficient and all with a smile. Note: wheelchair friendly. Kid friendly. High chair available. 🍽🍞...

Decent food but ridiculously sloppy service!! I understand having to wait for my bacon egg roll to be made but they took 15mins to make my coffee:/ only two other people there - i watched the barista casually take his time and was tempted to tell him to hurry up!

In response to the Owner: my coffee was probably ready at a reasonable time, but still, your barista didn't let me know it was ready and waiting on the counter. A lady walked in and ordered a coffee after me and the barista actually called out "miss, here's your coffee", even repeating himself because she didn't hear it the first time. I was thinking "she ordered her coffee after me, how did she get hers before me?? There's a coffee waiting on the counter, but that cant be mine - the barista called out to her to get her coffee, so surely he'll do the...

Firstly got told most of the things we wanted to order weren’t available. Secondly it wasn’t busy but took 50 minutes for my iced tea to be taken out of the fridge and I had to ask on three occasions where our drinks were. Got given the wrong drink at the 40 min timeframe and no sign of the second drink still. After an hour went passed with no sign of food we gave up as we had to go back to work. Got charged $19 for the two drinks. We ordered wraps from out of the display case.

I heard the other people sitting down complaining about where their food was too. The people next to us got their 3 wraps before us after 10 mins of them waiting but other tables were neglected.

Will not be going back. No one seemed to know what they were doing or even where they were. Very...

Today, a hearty breakfast at The Grocery Bar is bubbling with people. The queue was about five deep, but I saw eggs Benedict ham and a piece of hot chocolate on my table in ten minutes. The service is generous, with two English muffins, cut in half, so there is plenty to eat. The eggs are well cooked and have a generous ham. When I left, I could see a series of coffee cups, both disposable and fun, with different shapes, sizes and colors. The word came out - a reusable cup! The staff is great. Fast and efficient, everything is smiling.

This place is a lovely hidden gem. As soon as we walked through the doors we were warmly welcomed but the lovely staff. My sister and I opted for the shakshouka on the specials board. Wow was that good! The flavour in the sauce was spot on and with all the different veggies throughout made the meal so enjoyable. We also got a side of bacon and mushrooms each & they were just as lovely. We don’t live near the city but when we come back we will definitely be coming back here.
