Hungry Jack's Burgers Dandenong — Restaurant in Melbourne

I went there for a nice easy breakfast, but all I got was frustration. I pulled up to the drive through, and placed the order; a bacon and egg muffin meal with Orang Juice, and with an extra hash brown, courtesy of the Shake n Win app. I drove up to the window, and paid for my meal. it was only AFTER I had paid that they said "there's going to be a bit of a wait for your meal, can you please park your car?" as I was on my way to work, I wouldn't have ordered what I had if there was going to be a delay, so that's my first frustration. my second frustration was the wait itself. it took them TEN (10) MINUTES to come out to my car. I had intended a quick, 2 minute detour for something more than a simple yoghurt for breakfast, and it turned into a 15 minute detour (including the time spent ordering at the drive through, waiting, and then to get back onto the road) my third frustration, and this is why I'll NEVER be going back there, is when they finally brought out my meal, I checked it for the two hash browns, and when I saw it missing, I mentioned it to the employee who brought it out to me, she said "oh, the value meals don't have a hash brown". yes they do. it has the three items (muffin, drink, hash brown) on the picture in the app, on the picture on the drive through menu, and has been that way at at least a dozen other HJ's I've been to for the last 5 years. I am now late for work, so I don't have time to argue with her, so I had to just leave there and then. my fourth frustration, and this is just icing on the cake at this point, is when I finally bit into my lone hash brown, it was clearly at least 20 minutes old. it was dried out, mostly cold, and stale.

this isn't my only experience like this at this HJ, but it is definitely my last, as I will never be going back.

I can deal with them messing up my order, I can deal with them needing to park me for a few minutes, but what I can't handle is dishonesty. the fact that the employee blatantly said to my face "the value meals don't have hash browns" when I brought up the missing hash brown is pure disrespect. you were covering your own failure by trying to deceive a customer, and for that, I will not be going back there.

Now the chips was a bit cold for one's information although I do like coldness but some life other then myself i know do not like there chips to be cold and yeah other then that the chips was a bit thingy but i but i liked them for the most part and so yeah I just made the information about the chips known in case anyone is wondering how the chips was and other then that I also got a vegan whopper cheese and it i did enjoy it and I would say I like it more then the plant based whopper and yeah it was not cold for one's information and was less hot though then the plant based whopper I got I do like the crispiness of the vegan patty of the vegan whopper cheese and yeah the burger has a taste that I like and I ordered both burgers without onion and with mustard sauce instead of the onion and yeah I got a hot chocolate with this order and the meal was $16.05cents it cost 30 cents extra cause I replace the onion with mustard sauce. And I just went to hungry jacks again and I got cold chips again and so yeah it seems like they be doing this a lot these days so if you like cold chips I would recommend going to hungry jacks but yeah they are selling chips cold a lot these days so yeah you decide based on that when it comes to getting chips I guess. But yeah the chips this time was all subjectively desirable for me with some refreshing coldness and yeah some of the chips was warmish so yeah chips to my knowledge tend to have warm and cold bits of them and warm...

One of the worst Hungry Jack’s experiences I’ve ever had — completely ruined my morning. The staff here are extremely rude, unprofessional, and act like they’re doing you a favor just for being there. They deliberately don’t accept mobile app orders or deals, forcing people to pay full price at the counter. When I questioned this, I caught the staff red-handed avoiding mobile app discounts. I asked for the manager, and she took her time to show up.

When she finally arrived, instead of addressing the issue, she offered me a free coffee just so I wouldn’t say anything or escalate the situation. I refused the bribe and told her clearly — just enable the app offers like every other store. After that, I finally ordered a coffee through the app, but the whole situation left a very bad taste.

On top of that, the place is understaffed, filthy, and disorganized. The tables were dirty, trash was overflowing, and no one seemed to care. I had to wait over 30 minutes just for a simple coffee — and it was terrible. Cold, weak, and obviously made in a rush.

The whole vibe of the restaurant was chaotic. No one greets you, no one communicates properly, and clearly no one is managing this store well. Honestly, it felt like a scam and a waste of time.
