I was profoundly insulted by my experience at your establishment. The attitude displayed toward us was nothing less than outright rude and disrespectful. On Monday night, six of my friends and I ordered seven pizzas. Despite arriving before other customers, we waited over 30 minutes for our food in an environment that was not particularly busy, while others who arrived later were served ahead of us. When the pizzas finally arrived, two were severely undercooked. We politely requested that the staff cook them further, but no apology was offered. Instead, the pizza maker gave us a look that clearly conveyed displeasure with our request. After another extended wait, the pizzas returned, completely burnt. It was evident at that point that the pizza maker had taken offense to our initial request and deliberately served us burnt food. This behavior was not only highly unprofessional but also shocking. What was more disturbing was that none of the staff intervened, and the burnt pizzas were still served to our table. Feeling humiliated, we decided to leave. When we informed the staff that we would only be paying for the food we had actually consumed, they insisted we pay for the entire order, treating us as if we were being unreasonable. Throughout this entire ordeal, there was not a single apology. Ultimately, the manager agreed to remove the burnt pizzas from the bill, and we left. This experience left us feeling deeply disrespected and disappointed. It is unfortunate that, while many loyal customers are noticing the decline in quality and turning to other pizzerias easily, your establishment has chosen to respond with such a dismissive and unprofessional attitude. It is regrettable that this is the direction your restaurant has taken

We brought friends to I Carusi this time to share our delight at the deliciousness. We stuck to the winning formula of shared garlic focaccia entree and then potato and buffalina pizzas respectively and enjoyed it just as thoroughly. Mulled wine on the menu was a delectable new addition for the colder months Original review My husband and I have walked past I Carusi countless times and been impressed with the pizza on the plates of al fresco diners. Tonight we finally tried it for ourselves and are still wondering why we waited so long to experience the utter perfection that is this offering. They effectively only do pizza on the menu but when you do it so well why bother with anything else. The potato pizza for me was probably the best I’ve ever had and my husband thought the same about his bufalina. This is a true traditional Italian restaurant (so much so that they don’t have Coke just Pellegrino soft drinks!) and we enjoyed the meal immensely. The only blight on the experience was the weird locking doors that saw me trapped in the bathrooms unable to get back into the restaurant. Luckily nature called for someone else and I was rescued!

I don't write this to be cruel but sometimes some hard truths and criticism is needed to help improve the operation. The service and feeling of the place is perfectly fine, however I can not say the same about the food. The pizza was very underwhelming, cooked base and then a few uncooked toppings scattered on top. $36. Prosciutto had that unpleasant cheap barnyard taste to it. I've had much better pizzas in the area for $10 less. $20 salad was four slices of tomato, 3 leaves of basil, a medium ball of burrata in a bland capscicum cream. All quite flavourless. Used an average minced garlic spread on the garlic bread that tasted bad. The fact that we were only one of three tables on a friday night in summer in a busy area suggest that i am not the only one who has this opinion of the food. I've only taken the time to write this as this place has great potential and could really work if they go back to the drawing board and figure it out.

The food is beautiful and reasonably priced. Wine probably not as reasonably priced. Highly recommend the arancini! Interior is homely yet formal enough to feel like a fancy night out for couples on a budget. We came on a quiet night (maximum of five tables filled) yet all of the occupied tables were squashed against the windows. It felt like the restaurant was trying to seem busier than it actually was to entice more people inside. Next time I'll make sure I'm more assertive and ask for one of the tables along the back wall: they looked lovely. When it came time to pay, we were given an option to add a tip on to the total cost. Foreign travelers might not be shocked by a tip option, but as a local I was a little surprised. In Australia, we do not give tips unless the service is absolutely excellent, and even then, a tip is left on the table for the actual server to take, not added to the credit card payment to go straight to the business' coffers. From what I understand, America's tipping culture is used to combat the low earnings of hospitality staff. But Australia has a minimum wage for a reason. If the staff need extra money, then management needs to raise their wages. Students and those on a budget like I am might prefer to know there is going to be an 'optional' tip...

Went on valentines day. Im a young guy. Think as a young adult i was taken advantage of by owner and staff. Was seated outside with my date. Waited 18 minutes and didn't have a waitress come up to us. I had to go inside and grab someone to take our orders. We we were then told we should sit inside, we thought that was a decent idea until they placed us on the small bench next to an uber delivery driver. We then ordered wine (a bottle), the wine wasn't very nice, but what is CRAZY.... I ordered the bottle, the lady working poured us the wine out of the bottle I ordered, the wine wasn't cold but we drank it, but when I went to pour myself another glass, there was a quater of the wine left. They gave us half a bottle of wine, and poured it for us originally so we didn't realise. Fully taken advantage of. I complained and they gave us a new bottle, this cant have been a mistake.

The food was soggy, and cold.

I have been here before and had a decent experience, but the owner is in your face, the staff is rude, i payed and didn't get a thankyou, i was kind of just waiting there and i said thanks. No reply.

Not sure why they had it in for me or us. But there you go.

Don't recommend and I...
