Quick google search for breakfast in Melbourne, led us to the Mad Duck for our Sunday brunch. We arrived just on 10am, sat ourselves and collected the menu, went to counter @ 1010 to place & pay for our order (with a double surcharge 🙁 weekend & eftpos) at 1017 payment was taken, cafe was 1/2 full with 3 of the 6 tables outside taken. My partner received his warm coffee 23 minutes after I placed the order, at 1108 we finally received our Big Breakfast, very disappointing no apology for the almost hour long wait. And very disappointed in the $76.00 breakfast we were served. The bacon & mushrooms were cold, the hash brown not only cold but soggy, the sourdough was ok, but the poached egg was so over cooked it was practically boiled!! The sausage was nice.

I am sad it has come to this. On our first few orders of Large Chips we were given a full bag of chips. However, the last few times we noticed we been getting ripped off by Mad Duck. We ordered the LARGE CHIPS and then been given the bag half empty. I called to complain but was told that is the correct amount of chips in the bag and I was wrong. She then continued to disagree with me. I will not take that as an answer to a customer when you are trying to make relationships. I try to be fair but if your not going to…. I sure won’t be back. P.S don’t try the Caesar Salad

Great service, prompt and helpful. Friendly service staff. Had Eggs Royale and Soy Latte. Food was good and eggs benedict were well cooked. As I was sharing food with a friend, the staff apportioned the food accordingly without us asking! Quiet location near the marina. Tables and chairs a little worn out, but great experience nonetheless.

The boss is rude!!! She be nice only to some regular but rude to most of others!! We been here the another day, the boss just let 10, 20 customers lined out the door and requested typing order on their phone. What a shame of the god awful service. And the boss always yelling at her staff.she just lucky to have the staff stays. The girl always work hard alone and deal with the rush with awhole from ordering, make coffee, delivery coffee etc..God!!! But overall, still great coffee, coffee is nice. The boss's coffee always have a bitter taste and overheated milk. Also the egg and bacon roll is good if the bacon can be cooked well a little bit but their chef is not on so fair enough. Duck should be caution for the...

My friend and I went for brunch on Wednesday morning around 11am and unfortunately we had a terrible experience. The waitress working was soo rude and really didnt want to be there. She took our order taking 30 minutes for coffee and 45 minutes for food to come out. And it was very quiet. We couldnt even ask the waitress what was going on because she was walking around avoiding our table.. just after everything came out. Food tasting old and yuck. The waitress went to the table behinde us where no one was sitting took her shoes off and starting scratching in between her toes. We were really put off by this did not help with trying to enjoy food and ...
