Fresh, fast and deeply satisfying. That is how my visit to Master Lanzhou Noodle Bar felt from the first slurp. The room is compact and lively, with cooks stretching and slapping dough behind the counter while bowls of steaming broth fly out to tables. Ordering is simple. Pick your noodle thickness, choose soup or dry, dial the spice level, and add a side if you are hungry. Even with a short queue everything moved quickly and the staff kept things friendly and efficient.
The signature beef noodle soup is the reason to go. The broth is clear but full of flavour, layered with gentle spices and a proper beef backbone. A spoonful of house chilli oil adds fragrance rather than just heat, and a splash of black vinegar brightens the whole bowl. Noodles are the star. Hand pulled to order, they arrive with that perfect chew and hold their bite right to the finish. Thin gives you silky strands that carry the broth, thick brings a springy slurp, and regular hits the middle nicely. Slices of beef are tender, the daikon is sweet, and the coriander and spring onion on top make everything taste fresh. If you want more, a side of cucumber salad cools things down between sips, and the dumplings are juicy with wrappers that do not fall apart.
A few tips. If you are spice shy, ask for chilli on the side and tune it as you go. Portions are generous, so a bowl can easily be lunch on its own. Seats turn over fast at peak times, but going a little early or late makes it easy to linger. It is the kind of place you leave warmed through, quietly impressed by the craft, and already planning...

🥢What We Ordered: ✔️ Signature Lanzhou Beef Noodle Soup – A classic must-try! The broth is deep and aromatic, paired with tender beef and perfectly chewy noodles.⭐️
✔️ Pickled Cabbage Beef Noodle Soup – If you haven’t tried this yet, you’re missing out! The tangy pickled cabbage adds a refreshing twist to the rich broth. Highly recommended!⭐️
✔️ Shredded Cucumber with Sauce – A light and refreshing side dish, perfect for balancing out the heavier flavours.
✔️ Boiled Chicken with Chilli Oil Sauce – An absolute steal for $11.90! We expected a small entree, but it turned out to be half a chicken! Served cold with a mild numbing sensation from the chilli oil—don’t let the red colour scare you; it’s not overly spicy!⭐️
✔️ Plum Juice & Lychee Sprite – Refreshing drinks that pair well with the bold flavours of the dishes.⭐️
We’ve been here so many times, and I still always order the beef noodle soups because they’re just that good! If you haven’t tried the Pickled Cabbage Beef Noodle, give it a go next time—trust me, it’s worth it!

Read moreCame to check out this new store because J loves the hearty beefy handmade noodles here👍the broth is also delicious 🥣 there's currently some promos running rn too 😍 overall everything was consistent with other stores and service was prompt 👌
📸 Featured: 🍜 Signature handmade beef noodle soup $15.90 - J's order: always get the thin noodles, then add extra noodles, no corriander, extra leek, extra chili oil. Signature is still the best 💯
🍜 Youpo noodle $13.90 - widest noodle is much better dry than in soup (cos it made the soup starchy) I opted for mild cos didn't know how hot 🌶️🌶️ meant but actually mild🌶️ was nothing and I added so much of their chili oil into it. This one has no meat which I didn't mind but you can get the $15.90 which is like the dry version of the signature beef noodle soup.
🥒🍋 We got the promo Youpo set for $19.90 where you get the noodle, a veggie entree and handmade drink - we picked the cucumber salad and honey citron tea 😋
Will need to remember to try the skewers next time! 🍢
