Mediterranean Bar @ Restaurant — Restaurant in Melbourne

Ok, so my husband and I ate here today along with my son's. My son and I ordered ceasar salad and after a couple of times eating it I couldn't force myself to eat anymore of it, as it literally was soaked in salad dressing and became too salty, hardly had any bacon pieces in it, and the croutons I could not eat at all!! I have had many caesar salads before but never horrible like this. Second my son ordered a pizza and came out with the cheese on top been burnt. I had to scrape all the cheese and topping off just so my son could eat something, but the pizza dough tasted like it was store bought and not made there. My husband ordered the chicken parma and came out on some sides burnt too but didn't want to complain as we just wanted to get out of there. He also said the fries tasted off and like they had been re-heated or re-cooked. Honestly we left the restaurant still hungry as none of the food in front of us was edible. The waitress looked shocked to come to our table with so much food left in our plates that we couldn't eat, and actually ask us if we had finished eating. I only give 2 stars because the staff are great and friendly. People leave these important feedbacks and ratings so that something can be done to change what is not working properly for customers, so that they can come back and enjoy more meals. I normally read the reviews of places I go, as most of what is written are true honest experiences from customer's, I should of read them before we ate...

This place is not a restaurant. Do not eat here as you definitely risk food poisoning.

My friend and I dined here as the menu appeared to be extensive and the seating area looked nice. However, there weren’t many people eating here at all compared to the other restaurants.

We were greeted by a friendly waitress, who was ready to explain the menu to us however was interrupted and mansplained-over by her awful boss, the old man who came right up in our faces and talked right over her. She looked embarrassed by this condescending act and this set a terrible mood for the meal.

My friend ordered chicken and mushroom fettuccini and I ordered the lasagne, which was meant to have meat in it but when it came, it didn’t have one bit.

Both dishes were terrible. Terrible isn’t even a bad enough word - they were horrendous. My lasagne was cold (meaning they most likely microwaved or defrosted it) and even the salad tasted yuck. The cream and cheese used in both dishes tasted cheap and nasty, like plastic. Low grade ingredients all the way through.

I calmly complained to the owner, who offered to replace my dish and said I don’t need to pay for it, however the food was so bad that I declined a replacement as I had lost my appetite.

There is something terribly shady happening at this place as I couldn’t make food that bad even if I tried. Avoid at all costs, even if you are starving, you’re better off going to the maccas down the road.

Today we were granted the meal from hell. We were in a medium sized group and all order at the same time. One meal came out about 15 minutes before the others, we were provided no cutlery and the cups provided for water were plastic (lol r u serious????????). The second meal to arrive was a salad, which had a big black hair which was returned to the kitchen to be remade. The steak we ordered medium rare was well done and so we asked for it to be remade correctly. This request was responded to by the staff coming out to tell us that we were wrong and that it was in fact medium rare. It was decided that instead of having it remade, possibly wrong as the chef does not understand what medium rare means, we would instead order a parma. In the meantime, the salad was returned with yet another hair, and as if this meal could get any worse, the chef suddenly understood the meaning of medium rare and sent out the chicken parma pink inside. We asked to speak to the manager who was very rude and insisted that he had never had a complaint before- and not from the same table, which was such a weird coincidence that on the day of his “first” complaint we could hear other tables complaining to the manager too! Crazy stuff! It was incredibly unprofessional and a horrible dining experience, which is a shame because the waitresses were really friendly. This restaurant is a joke, avoid...
