3 of us attended this restaurant on Saturday, 8th March. Our reservation was for 7:30pm. We showed up at 7:20pm and were seated promptly. At that time, there didn’t seem to be a need for a reservation as there was plenty of seating. After about 8pm, it got quite full. We ordered food around 7:30-7:45pm. We ordered 5 appetisers (raw lamb, hummus with meat, cauliflower, an eggplant dish and a rice dish) and 1 main (mixed grill) between the 3 of us. 4 of the appetisers came around 8:15pm. At around 8:30pm, we asked if someone could check on when we could expect our main and our last appetiser (cauliflower) to arrive. We waited a little over 5 minutes and received no update (and noticed the waiter attending to others instead) so we asked another waiter to check. Again, we waited and received no update. We asked one last waiter and (surprise) received no updates. We were noticing that similar items were arriving at other tables who came after us but not ours. Our main arrived around 8:45pm, at minimum an hour after we had ordered. It was incredibly small for what we paid and not at all unique in any way for it to have taken that long. Our cauliflower never arrived and at this point, we were tired of having to chase down waiters in a somewhat small and busy restaurant. We asked a waiter to cancel the cauliflower and have it taken off our bill. We ordered and ate dessert (Kanefeh and an ice cream dish). They both arrived quickly. The Kanfeh was good but super sweet. We asked for the bill and realised we were about to be charged for the cauliflower which never arrived so we tried to clarify to the waiter what happened. She seemed like she was rushing and did not care how long it had taken but quickly went and got it taken off. We paid and left shortly after. Overall, we were disappointed. The food was okay and the customer service was extremely below average. At no point did any of the waiters ask how everything was going or check on our food, give us updates or apologise at having to wait over an hour for one food item and over 1.5 hours for an appetiser which never arrived. Being a waitress myself, I would never have allowed a customer to wait that long without, at the very least, apologising for the wait and giving frequent updates or compensating for the wait. The only time we felt looked after was when the boy cleaning our plates apologised for the cauliflower never arriving when we were about to leave. Our time here felt very disorganised. I really wish I had liked it. If you come here, we recommend trying the raw lamb dish, the hummus with meat and the eggplant dish (we forgot the name as they said they had new menus which don’t seem to be online yet). This review does not come from a bad place. I hope I have given valuable feedback on areas that can be improved so that others can have the best experience here.

**Exceptional Dining Experience at Mosaic Lebanese Restaurant on Toorak Road** From the moment you step into Mosaic Lebanese Restaurant on Toorak Road, you are welcomed by the warm and friendly presence of Bill, the owner. Bill's exceptional hospitality is a standout feature of this restaurant. He remembers regular customers by name and greets new visitors with genuine enthusiasm. His passion for Lebanese cuisine is evident in every interaction, as he shares his extensive knowledge and love for the food with every guest. The Head Chef comes from Jeita and she is an exceptional cook. The staff were exemplary looking after our table. The culinary journey at Mosaic is nothing short of spectacular. The Lebanese mezze, an assortment of small dishes, is a feast for the senses. Each dish bursts with authentic flavors, from the creamy hummus to the perfectly seasoned tabbouleh. The kibbeh naieh, a traditional raw lamb dish, is prepared with utmost care, offering a taste that transports you straight to Lebanon. Every bite at Mosaic feels like a home-cooked meal, rich with tradition and crafted with love. The attention to detail in every dish showcases the chef’s dedication to authenticity and quality. Whether you are a longtime lover of Lebanese cuisine or a newcomer eager to explore, Mosaic offers an experience that is both comforting and exciting. I highly encourage everyone to visit Mosaic Lebanese Restaurant. It's a place where you can enjoy the best flavors of Lebanese cuisine in a warm and welcoming atmosphere. Let Bill and his team guide you through an unforgettable culinary adventure that you will want to return to time and time again. I believe it is important to support local businesses especially those are family owned as it is the unglorified metachondria of the economy. Supporting this exceptional establishment will get you in return to enjoy the excellence food service and environment. Don't be shy to try the smooth arak ( the Lebanese National drink). The lions milk... Exceptional well done team Mosaic 👏

I recently had the pleasure of dining at Mosaic with my girlfriends for iftar, and it was truly a memorable experience. Located in a prime spot, the restaurant's ambiance was inviting and set the perfect tone for our evening. We opted for the iftar banquet, and it exceeded our expectations in every way. The spread was not only delicious but also plentiful, with generous portions that left us fully satisfied. Each dish was served fresh and piping hot, showcasing the authentic flavors of Middle Eastern cuisine. What truly set this dining experience apart was the exceptional service. The staff, led by the charming owner Nabil, was incredibly attentive throughout the evening. Nabil, in particular, went above and beyond to ensure that we felt welcomed and cared for. He not only engaged us in meaningful conversations but also took the time to personally visit each table, adding a personal touch to our dining experience. Nabil's warmth and friendliness truly enhanced our time at the restaurant, making it more than just a meal but a memorable encounter. His dedication to customer satisfaction was evident in every interaction, and it's clear that he takes great pride in providing top-notch service.Overall, our experience at Mosaic was nothing short of delightful. From the delectable food to the impeccable service, every aspect exceeded our expectations. I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for an authentic Middle Eastern dining experience coupled with exceptional hospitality. We'll definitely be returning soon!

I recently had the pleasure of dining at Mosaic , a charming Lebanese restaurant that truly exceeded all of my expectations. From the moment I walked in, I was greeted with warmth and genuine hospitality by the owner, who went above and beyond to ensure that my dining experience was nothing short of exceptional.

The owner's generosity was truly remarkable - not only did they take the time to personally recommend some of their favorite dishes, but they also treated me to a few complimentary samples of their delicious appetizers. It was clear that they took great pride in sharing their culture and cuisine with their guests, and their passion for creating a welcoming atmosphere was truly infectious.

And let's talk about the food - it was absolutely phenomenal! Each dish was bursting with bold flavors and fresh ingredients that showcased the authentic Lebanese culinary traditions. From the perfectly seasoned kebabs to the flavorful hummus and falafel, every bite was a delightful journey for the taste buds. I could taste the love and care that went into preparing each dish, and it made the experience all the more memorable.

Overall, my visit to Mosaic was nothing short of amazing. The hospitality, generosity, and of course, the delicious food, all combined to create a dining experience that I will not soon forget. I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for a taste of Lebanon and a truly exceptional dining experience.
