About $12 a meal, overpriced for the absolute garbage that it is. This place has been around for like 10 years, I live in chapel street so I see all kinds of stores come and go due to popularity. When I was younger I thought they were good enough but the last few years, each time I’ve gone there, the food has been so incredibly bland I can’t get past more than 3 mouthfuls unless I’m STARVING but even then never finish it. I’m Chinese and it hurts me to see such a business, stay for so long on Chapel Street when the food they provide is actually a disgusting joke. There is absolutely NO flavour. At all. My friends and I were joking that it’s probably a money laundering place, as how the heck else are we supposed to believe they pay the rent on their business using the money they make from their food. No one in their right mind, with taste buds, would go back.
PS: A few years ago, I bought a Mongolian dish (‘Chefs Special’ - ha! yeah right!) and used my debit card. The lady said my payment had declined, I was confused but paid in cash. I got home to see it had never declined and I actually paid double. I stopped going there and recently went back, the food is JUST as bland as it’s always been and the lady was no where in sight to give a...
Read moreI’ve been eating from Noodle World for over 20 years on and off. Easily my favourite noodles in Melbourne and I go out of my way to get them when I can. But tonight I got our usual noodle orders - and I can’t believe I’m having to say this, but both were AWFUL. Neither one was ANYTHING like what I’ve had on every other experience over the years. They were literally unrecognisable (and I had ordered exactly the same as recently as a month or so ago and no such issue). Dry. Tasteless. Different ingredients. I have no idea if something has happened recently to cause a change in the kitchen or what. But I don’t think we’ll be going back - and we’ll have to find a new favourite place for...
Read moreI don’t like giving bad reviews, particularly to small businesses that just try to survive after a pandemic, but this is just really bad that I have to give a bad review. I ordered the supreme noodles which was in the recommendation list, its sort of normal fast food take away price ($14) so I didn’t expect much, but when I tasted it I was still disappointed. The fish cake had a gross fishy smell which ruined the dish, there wasn’t much ingredients other than noodles, and despite them using probably a lot of soy source the dish still tasted bland. I don’t know why. I have had a lot of take away food, this definitely sits at a lower end. I can just see a lack of skill or...
