I normally love this place, but was very disappointed lastnight with a bartender/glass collector named Matt As my friends & I were dancing Matt was collecting glasses he violently shoved one of my female friend’s in her chest. She had done nothing to provoke him, so I am quite disgusted with his behavior. I then attempted to ask him why he had shoved her but he quickly spoke to security. Nick was the security guy, he approached us calmly & explained to us why we had to leave. We then explained what Matt had done to our female friend & Nick tried to rectify the situation with management, but to no avail. The Bar man/Glass collector Matt physically shoved past my female friend tonight , as he was so rough she gave a bump back and that was enough to have us (group of 7) thrown out even though we were the most sober people there. Nick in security who was amazing, could see we were in the right and could see reason so tried to get it sorted but to no avail... on our way out Matt even started swearing at some of us (girls included) and had to be held back by other security. Been going here since before they had to shut during covid and I loved it then but even more so now as it’s the only bar on chapel st where women (at least myself and everyone I know) is able to get a drink after work and not feel stressed or scared as the staff are absolutely incredible at ensuring you feel comfortable and are quick to spot anyone whom might make someone uncomfortable and ensure all patrons feel safe in their venue alongside having amazing customer service from the entire team, killer drinks, bubbly social bartenders & music we all know and love couldn’t have better...
