I’d like to share some feedback from a recent visit, as I believe it could help improve the customer experience for others in future.

My friends and I dropped by your store for drinks after checking online that your closing time is listed as 9pm. We arrived well before that, only to be met by a staff member who, rather abruptly, told us it was takeaway only as the store was closing. When we mentioned that the listed closing time was 9pm, he raised his voice and explained that he would be busy cleaning and mopping, and that customers usually don’t like it when cleaning is happening.

While we completely understand that staff need time to close and clean up, the interaction could’ve been handled in a much friendlier and more professional manner. His tone and body language made us feel quite unwelcome, even though we said we didn’t mind the cleaning and were happy to take our drinks.

We understand the desire to wrap up early, but we’d really suggest updating your website or signage to reflect an earlier last order time maybe 8:30pm so that expectations are clear and both staff and customers can have a more positive experience.

Thank you for taking the time to read this, and we hope this feedback is helpful for improving service clarity and...

Came here multiple times, and each time was a unique experience. The food cooked here is very homely and inexpensive. I've tried various dishes, but my favourite would be the Chicken Laksa, which at the time was $10 aud. Teh Tarik Corner wouldn't retain its name if it didn't have good Teh Tarik, hence I was obligated to try the Teh there. The hot Teh is pulled well and very frothy, the cold Teh has less amounts of ice and yet pretty darn cold (Not overly sweet to kill the taste of the food while pairing). The Teh is cheaper but around the same volume when compared to other Malaysian restaurants.

The seating arrangement is ideal for a couple or a group of 4, NOT MORE. There is enough room on each table to fit 2 people and there are round about 8 tables enough for 16 - 20 individuals. I eat large sums of food, and a meal for two is usually under $50 and I'm not talking about just any meal. I'm talking a Roti Canai (Share) for entrée accompanied by some Teh Tarik (Individual) and finish it off with some Laksa/Nasi Goreng (Individual)

If you're alone or with a friend, don't hesitate on stopping by for a...

One good measure of any good eateries especially a recently opened one is always the consistency and the service. “Teh Tarik Corner” Malaysian Traditional restaurant opened about 4 weeks ago on 209 Commercial Rd, Prahran. This bright cosy tasty eatery serves Malaysian dishes including all the favourites. We have been back to Teh Tarek three (3) times now in the past 2 weeks and have pretty much ordered the same drinks (Teh Tarik)- hot milk tea) and dishes especially the Curry Laksa and Char Kuay Teow. The presentation, flavour & colour have been consistent every time we have ordered especially the Curry Laksa. In our opinion the Curry Laksa at Teh Tarik would be the top three best Curry Laksa in Melbourne. The seafood Char Kuay Teow we thought was easily the best CKT in the Prahran and South Yarra area, and taste was nearly as good as the original Penang CKT. All in all, we will be back as the area has been missing a really good Malaysian eatery, and we really feel that Teh Tarik Corner will fill the void left by another famous Malaysian eatery Chinta Ria by the...

10/10 would recommend the food here. Teh Tarik Corner serves authentic Malaysian cuisine made with love by their Malaysian owners. We come here frequently with friends and no matter what we order, they've always been delicious! Today, we tried their: - Char Kuay Teow (flat fried noodles) - Nasi Lemak (Rice cooked in coconut milk, aka Malaysia's national dish) with Beef Rendang - Salt and Pepper Eggplant - Teh Tarik (hot "pulled" milk tea) - Bubur Cha Cha (Boiled sweet potato, yam, and sago pearl, in coconut milk. A "soupy"dessert, can be ordered hot or cold) - Banana Fritters (aka "Pisang Goreng", a tasty street snack) with a scoop of ice-cream - Chocolate & Matcha Buns (Newest addition to their "Chef's Specials" menu) Other highly-recommended dishes to try here (not pictured): - Spicy Minced Chicken Green Bean - Seafood Asam Nyonya (Sour and spicy seafood broth, "Asam Pedas" Melaka Nyonya style) - Cereal King Prawn Enjoy your meal! Special thanks to Teh Tarik Corner for the Malaysian hospitality!

Came here while visiting Melbourne on a work trip. We were a table of 3 and came here only because we fancied Malaysian food and it was close to the hotel. I think it's safe to say I will be coming back every time I visit Melbourne. We got the rotis with different curries, dumplings, rendang bao, fried chicken, coconut water and Milo. While the food was fantastic - could not fault a thing, there was a new person on the waiting staff that seemed to lack quite a bit of knowledge of not just Malaysian food but food and drink in general. However, it was clear that the person was still under training and was being overseen by the owner quite well. I would definitely recommend the roti and the rendang bao and I'd like to thank the owners and chef for a wonderful experience.

The food is great! We got the lunch special, fish ball soup, and the curry. It was flavourful and authentic (my accompanied was Malaysian so it was verified 😅). The price was very cheap for the portion! Students out there, if you like to travel not too far from CBD, this is a great place to try 😄 The curry was flavourful but the sauce was too little when paired with the bread. It will be an intense dish so you have to take that in mind when order. The fish ball soup 🍲 was amazing. The sauce was not too overpowering and the soup was light and warm. Highly recommend! We also got an iced Teh Tarik. It was good and you can order less sugar!!! The atmosphere was good. Clean and quiet, I like it 👍. Service was nothing special, they are attentive to my allergies 👍
