Service is so bad and not friendly. Kindly requested to take a photo with my mum and likely refused and don’t mind to respect customer. Not recommend!
After reviewed, both owner and service staff were so rude to loudly complain us in front of customers during a course and after! Even the customers next to us are witnessed and agreed with us as well! Not the way to treat customers! Ruined my lunch and unprofessional!
RE: your feedback.
Well, I think the story is untrue. The staff was ignored and unfriendly to us at beginning. We asked for the order when ready but he told us need to wait another table but they had not decided yet! When i asked for the photo, he told me to wait (again!) and be back in 5 mins, but looks like he didn’t like our request and ignored us even he had a time. We were waiting more than time was promised, then we decided not to bother him and took a quick photo by ourselves. The customers sat next to us offered to help take a photo, then your staff heard our conversation and pretended to do it. They were witnessed of the full story!
Then i was trying to cool down by communicating with him and made the atmosphere more comfortable.
I was not embarrassed, but really frighten and shock especially my mum in the age of 80+, when each of you came and bombarded us with inappropriate words and loudly tones and ready-to-fight attitude during a course and after! I wish if you politely had a conversation in the appropriate time, that will be different!
If you are wearing a customer shoes like us, you can feel how disappointed we were. We are in many French restaurants not only in Melbourne and even in many countries, we never have this sad experience!
I hope you get this feedback, fighting to get the better service, fighting to get the best food, fighting to get the best hospitality to your customer but not fighting to your customers! Doubling the wrong cannot...

Here's what we had:
Starters -
💛 Ravioli We will eat anything w/ a creamy basil sauce & this is no exception. Filled with goat's cheese, the sauce here was the real highlight and one that we couldn't get enough of.
🐌 Escargot Perfectly cooked snail nestled atop a portobello mushroom, this starter encapsulated the whole experience - surprising, tender, & flavorful.
🐷 Pork Pate Served w/ a side of cornichon & cocktail onions, we picked a pate that was deliberately a little different and great to try but not our favorite compared to the classic chicken liver variety.
Mains - 🐑 Lamb Special w/ Risotto Incredibly tender, rich, & quite possibly some of the best lamb we’ve had, this dish was perfectly paired w/ a mushroom risotto that was at once earthy & aromatic.
🧀 Blue Cheese Chicken & Mash If you love blue cheese, this is the dish for you; succulent chicken breast with blue cheese layered within, the plate was as rich as you imagine it to be & paired w/ mash that was as creamy and buttery as everything else.
🥘 Veal Rack w/ Truffle Mash Herbaceous, tender, & medium; the veal racks were cooked to a perfect medium and the red wine sauce was to die for. That said, if we had one complaint it would be the inclusion of capers throughout the mash which we could've done without.
🐟 Snapper w/ Fennel Buttery, flaky, & beautifully tangy; this snapper blew us away w/ its smooth butter sauce & silky fish. And if you're worried that the butter sauce might be indulgent, the lemon juice cuts through in a way that only it can to create a surprisingly...

REVIEW: This is not my favourite French restaurant. I was keen to try a new French restaurant which had high Google ratings... but should've stuck with what I knew. Other alternatives in Melbourne are: Philippe, Bistrot D'Orsay and France Soir.
The food was okay. Nothing amazing, although my friends did like the Raviolis au chevre. Would suggest this an your entree! Other than that, a lot of the food was under seasoned. I've been to flavourful French restaurants before, so wouldn't say this is a trait of French dishes. Nonetheless, there's handy salt and pepper crackers on the table for you to go to town on.
Surprisingly the best part was the bread and butter for me. It's in gorgeous little swirls, and the bread is great as a carrier for the creaminess.
Service was a little lacking. They barely addressed the food, and we had to guess which pate was the pork/duck. Wish there was more friendliness, more interaction,...
