✨ My Second Visit to Pochana Melbourne – Even Better Than the First! 🎉

The first time I came here was with a big team after work—fun and full of energy! My second visit was more intimate, just a small group to celebrate my friend’s birthday, and it turned out to be such a beautiful, memorable experience.

🌟 First Impressions: The place is HUGE and has such a cool, exciting vibe! Every corner looks aesthetic and photo-worthy. It’s perfect for hanging out, taking pics, and just enjoying the atmosphere. It feels cozy yet lively at the same time.

🍽️ Food Highlights: My absolute favourite was the kangkung—so flavorful and cooked perfectly! I also loved the papaya salad with bean sprouts—fresh, tangy, and delicious. We tried the crispy fish (so crunchy!) and of course, the Tom Yum soup, which never disappoints. Overall, the food really suits my taste—flavorful, well-balanced, and satisfying.

🎂 Service That Touched My Heart: This visit was extra special because we were celebrating a birthday. I brought a cake, and one of the lovely staff (a pretty girl with short yellow hair—wish I got her name!) helped me store it in the fridge. When it was time to surprise my friend, the team went above and beyond!

They provided candles (I forgot mine 😅), a knife, plates, and even helped take photos and videos of the moment. And to top it off, they played the Happy Birthday song in the background—it truly made the celebration feel warm and unforgettable. Even though the restaurant was busy, the staff were kind, cheerful, and so supportive.

💬 Final Thoughts: I’m just so happy and grateful for the experience. It’s not just about the food—it’s about the joy, atmosphere, and amazing team that made our night feel special.

REVIEW: ❤ The stand out dish for me was the Salt & Pepper crispy soft shell crabs. It delivered on the crispiness and was so satisfying to eat. Coming with 2 types of sauces to dip with, the first couple of bites could yield a different favour profile; depending on your dipping combination. I was glad we got salad because it helped to cut through the savouriness of the soft shell crab.

The Tomyum noodle was satisfying. However, most of the pork belly pieces was ALL FAT with crispy skin (which I'd never seen before) 😭 and felt a bit cheap, while the prawns had a bit of a pungency to them. Wasn't a fan. 😣 However, the casual nature of the Tomyum noodles have a soft spot in my heart. I enjoyed the flavours within the soup!

🤩 Service was attentive and friendly! The girls checked in to see how we were going and made sure we got our orders. I also appreciated that we were able to adjust our spiciness level for the Som Tum Thai! The food came out fast as well, during weekend lunch.

🤔 Between the Longan juice and thai milk tea, both my mum and I preferred the Longan juice. The refreshing taste was a better pair to the flavourful dishes.
