On a trip to Melbourne for the weekend we came here 2 mornings in a row for breakfast, 1st day a young guy with dark curly hair made the coffee, they were excellent, food was fantastic but what made the whole experience was the young lady who served us Brianna. We decide to go back to next morning before we left Melbourne once again food was fantastic, coffee was only so so, the young guy was not working unfortunately this morning, 3 or 4 other people's coffee orders were made in front of ours by a lady. She didn't seem to know what she was doing. We were however most pleased to be greeted and served by the lovely Brianna whose excellent customer service and bubbly happy face made our morning once again. Poor thing was run off her feet trying to run to show and do everyone else's job as well as her own, as no one else seemed to want to be serving any customers or no what they were doing. What an asset for an employer Brianna is, it's says a lot when people want to return to the same establishment not just for the food but the 5...
Read moreThe food was good but the customer service was abhorrently shocking. We waited for 15 minutes for our table to be cleared after eating and when we tried to flag down a waiter who was giving coffee to one of the three tables that had people, they didn’t bother to look in our direction to see if we needed anything. Even the manager/owner who could easily and clearly what was happening, he failed to take any action. After paying we asked if we could get our chips taken away, they said they would be out to do it and they didn’t come. I had to go inside (we were sitting in their outdoor area in easy view) and i see they’re toasting a sandwich instead of doing what they said they’d do. Personally, i’m never coming back especially because as we were leaving the person sitting at the front of the store who i assume was the owner or manager, gave my dad a dirty look. You have no right to treat your customers poorly because your service...
Read moreStuzzichino is a beautiful, authentically Sicilian pocket of Lygon street. Not only are the plates delicious but the service and story behind the venue amplifies every dish to be even more delicious. We had the pleasure of tasting the Tapas board that Marisa has just introduced to the venue. Everything on this board was delicious and the closest I’ve had to Sicilian food in Melbourne. Some of the best calamari I have ever had in Melbourne. We also had a capriocosa pizza with anchovies and it was definitely one of the better pizzas I have ever had on lygon. We also had two bottles of Sangiovese, as recommended which paired beautifully with the dishes. All of this for a very affordable $170 between three. I cannot recommend Stuzzichino more for a a wholesome, authentically Italian dinner on lygon on a Friday night. We will most...
