I've been buying mango lassi from this shop for over a year—every time I visit the market—and it's always been consistently good. Unfortunately, that changed today.
I bought two mango lassis and immediately noticed something was off. The taste was bad, the color was unusually brownish, and the smell was different. I brought it to the lady's attention, only to be told in short “You paid for it, the only thing I can do is put it in the bin for you.” So I handed both of them back—essentially paying just to have my drinks thrown out.
She did try to explain that they used a different type of mango (a red one), I have been buying for last year and it never tasted bad!
I think either it is improperly stored not refrigerated, or possibly expired? Either way, this is not how a loyal customer should be treated. I didn’t ask for a refund—just some acknowledgment of the issue. so that they don't sell it any other customers. Instead, I walked away with nothing but frustration.
It’s disappointing to see such poor customer service, especially after supporting a business for so long. I won’t be returning.
Adding reply from owner and my response.
State the facts We sold 46 lassis today and your wife was the only complaint maybe it was your attitude that was sour not the mango Your wife initially returned the lassis which I replaced for her - I also drank one for quality purposes and they were cold and fresh not as sweet as usual due to the different mango being used When you came back later to return the replacement ones you stated you didn't want a refund so I offered to throw them out for you, you then proceeded with racial comments and threats totally unacceptable Though I appreciate you previous business I'm happy for you not to return - enjoy the rest of your weekend
Thank you for the response.
All i said was I am a regular customer and it didn't like the product/ service I received today.
In your reply you stated the taste was not usual. That was my point as well.
I clearly said I am not there for refund. just wanted to let you know it doesn't taste right.
if you have said apologies, we will make it right next time. I would have happily left and would have visited you next time!
The racial comment I said was ' I am an Indian I know what a good mango lassi tastes like' I apologise if that offended you. I can't change the facts!
The threat you mentioned was when I said may be I should check with Darebin council health . I didn't feel like the drink you offered was up to standard. So I informed you, and I didn't get the response normally any one would expect. So my next contact is Darebein council health. Correct me if I am wrong.
The whole conversation was 3-4 sentence less than a minute ! I don't know how you came up with racist and threatening stuff from it. You can check CCTV if you have one.
I hope you would understand my frustration. I had enjoyed the drink in the past!
I wouldn't be replying to this anymore , I have better things to spend my time on.

Read moreI had high hopes for this juice bar, but unfortunately, my experience was disappointing. I ordered a juice that sounded refreshing on the menu, but it was completely overpowered by an excessive amount of ginger. While I appreciate the health benefits of ginger, the flavor was so overwhelming that it drowned out the taste of all the other ingredients. It felt more like drinking pure ginger juice than the balanced blend I was expecting.
To make matters worse, the staff didn’t seem particularly interested when I mentioned the issue. I understand that taste preferences can vary, but this was far beyond a matter of personal taste – it was poorly balanced.
If you love an extreme ginger kick, this might be your spot, but for those of us looking for a well-rounded juice, this isn’t it. I won’t be rushing back anytime soon.
Unfortunately the staff member that served me seemed like she was servely lacking protein and doesn't understand the concept of customer service. Maybe it's due to nutritional imbalance and hating people in general.

Read moreMy recent experience with this place is very disappointing for so many reasons..I approached asking Gluten free options, and ask whether the acai bowl is the lady said yes it is..so she made a bowl..when i had the bowl ,realised there is no gronola on it just fruit on top. When I kindly question, the lady said ‘noo this is gf version with no apology or understanding of my confusion..even she said if you want crunch you can pay for nut or peanut butter.. i already paid a lot of money and if you are taking a gronola out why not inform me before i pay or add something to replace it. And i was further to shock to hear that the lady said it is only a spoonful of granola as it was weird to question.. i feel costumer service is fairly disappointing! I understand it is a small business but doesn’t mean you don’t deserve to receive a service for your money..or at least...
