I was utterly appauled by the service and quality at the Grilld Midland store today. I ordered a caesar salad with an extra side of sauce. A part from a couple being seated before I arrived, I was the only one in the restaurant. It took more than 10minute for my order to come out. I sat in a position where I could see my salad being made, I was shocked to find the staff making my salad was just standing there, chicken in tongs, talking to her work mates. The staff member would cut off one bit of chicken, say, every 15 seconds in between sentences? I had to walk over an ask if my salad was actually okay... not impressed. When my meal was brought over there was certainly no rush, the staff member walked as slow as possible to my table. Of course there was no side of sauce, when I said excuse me it was the manager on the other side of the store that heard me, not the staff member who served me, was she ignoring me? Anyway, so I look at my serving, the egg was so cold and gluggy I tossed it onto the side plate. The side of sauce I received was gluggy and had a bit of parmesan cheese stuck in it... the plate also came with 3 flies that were so persistent on getting my meal I just had to leave. As a gathered my bag I noticed most of the tables were covered in crumbs. Meanwhile, I looked up to notice not a single staff member or manager was visable from the restaurant, but you could hear them shouting and laughing out the back. Read moreVery upset and disappointed with Grill'd Midland. We walked up and saw absolutely no signage anywhere on their doors or windows about their requirements regarding ordering. Knowing full well that the WA Government website states that takeaway food is excluded from the vaccine mandate, and knowing Grill'd has always done takeaway as well as dine-in service, we went inside and queried why there was no signage outside and wanted to know their policy. We were told that we must show proof of full vaccination to dine-in, that's fine, no surprise there. So asked to order takeaway and was refused as they require proof of at least one vaccination to order takeaway. Couldn't believe it! We left without argument. Went and got takeaway food elsewhere without issue and went home. Tried calling Grill'd Midland several times to talk to the Manager but the call kept ringing out, they weren't answering. Then tried calling head office but was kept on hold for too long and ended the call. These restrictions and mandates won't last forever but we won't forget how you treated a long term customer, and even when restrictions and mandates are eventually lifted, we will not be returning. We were regulars and even supported your business during lockdown, but after this, we won't ever be back. Read moreWhat a DISAPPOINTING service from the staff working tonight. I ordered one brie burger from the app to pick up at 6:20 pm. I came in and line up at the counter where a blonde lady asked if I was dining in or taking away. I said I ordered online and she directed me to wait in front of the white wall. I was not acknowledged by any other staff member despite being right in front of them. They were a full house, busy night, though had plenty of staff on. After 20 mins of waiting I asked the same lady for my order and she said it’ll be another ten minutes. All the other takeaways were given out at this point. Another ten mins go by and she finally noticed that I’d been waiting here a while, so she asked me again what the name of my order was and I told her. She checked their order screen and couldn’t find it. She asked the head cook, and it turns out, IT HAD BEEN SITTING ON THE SHELF THE ENTIRE TIME. She passed it to me and said “sorry you waited for nothing”. I had no time left to ask for a remake or a refund as I had to leave.
