Bernard's Bakery — Restaurant in New South Wales

Very little variety in pies. I had a chicken and mushroom pie, which was quite sloppy and had cheese or something on top. There was also only two or three bits of mushroom. Not a terrible flavour, but not worth the $5.70 plus $0.30 for sauce and $0.30 for eftpos fee. I will try their coffees, sweets and sausage rolls another day, but until then, I will be going to another bakery. Walked in with two kids to grab a bite, bravely (and stupidly) ordered a coffee as well. Sat down inside on the only table available to eat two pies and a sausage roll. Coffee got delivered to my table, the lid was a little looser and I consciously just grabbed it at the top as the coffee was hot.. It then spilled everywhere and was totally on me. The two girls working on the day jumped in straight away with one offering another coffee without hesitation and the other cleaning the mess. Can't fault the pies and...

What a disappointment.... Grew up in Bathurst and remembered the old Bernard's Bakery. This take off of Bernard's falls well short and is extremely disappointing. Purchased a couple of pies on way back to Adelaide and ended up feeding them to the birds in the duck pond adjacent to the courthouse in George Street. Looking back at it now.... I wonder how many ducks / birds fell from the sky after...
