I actually love the products at Carah's, sadly when you have a great product that people are even willing to travel especially to the store for but have terrible customer service then it tends to deter you from wanting to drive 45 minutes again to get the product you love. I have attended 3 times in the past week for a specific product and don't get me wrong I get they make things at certain times, however yesterday I was told very specifically it would be in store today , so in I go to get the product and the sales lady could barley speak to me, I was attempting to ask about the product and was abruptly told we got what's in the window, I tried to explain I had driven a long way and was told the day before it would be in today, whilst the lady was huffing off out the back without even trying to listen to me, on returning she was blunt and said yeah he is making them, I asked if she knew when it might be ready and her response was a dirty look at me and well late this afternoon. I of course won't be able to get the product again today I need to return home for work, my point is it's all good and fine to have product people love and want but if that's the level of customer service then bugger the product I will learn to make it myself, I won't return to support that local business and neither will encourage anyone I know to. I hope the owner gets their staff on track to treat people a little bit better. So...
Read moreOrdered breakfast pies, cheese and bacon sausage rolls, quiche and a cream lamington. Service was rather ordinary. The lady seemed very flustered and abrupt. They were busy but I don't think that's a good excuse. I also ordered coffee's and I had asked for mine and went on to state hubbies order and she seemed annoyed. The breakfast pies were barely edible. The egg was rubbery and the meat filling had large chewy bits of meat. The quiche had alot of thick pastry. The lamington was delicious. The mud cake had a very old strawberry on top for decoration. Coffee was good. I don't know what's happened if it has new owners but we won't be going back. Very sad as I like to support small business but quite honestly a...
Read moreYou can’t order a ‘cake’ at Cara’s Cakes. Even though you’re next in line they won’t take your order for a cake. You have to wait until they serve everyone in the line even though you were next. And of course people keep constantly walking in. And when you ask to be served because you’ve been standing there waiting, the staff are so rude and snappy and ask you to come back at the end of the day to order a cake. It’s really sad when you want to order a nice cake for your child’s birthday but you get told off for being next in the line. Are you a cake shop? Do you sell cakes? Why can’t I order a cake? Why should I wait for you to make 10 coffees and serve 10 people before I can order a cake at...
