One picket fence is a treasure hidden away on Newcastle Foreshore. Across from the Rydges it is an open cafe with indoor/ outdoor seating and dog friendly if you want to bring your furry buddy! They serve a proper large coffee - you know the one where it's says large but comes in a medium cup? Not here! My favourite was a fresh bagel, from Papa Bagel no less, with cream cheese. We had the Eggs Benedict and the mushroom toast. I added scrambled eggs to the mushroom toast and it was an extra $5. This made my meal $21 which is ok, I guess, but the portion size was tiny.
