Sorry guys - hate giving bad reviews but..... I went there with my colleague and we ordered a range of dishes which sll came out immediately and there was no room on the small table for them. Ordered a stir fried eggplant dish and a stir fried tofu dish.. both almost identical except for a token sliver of eggplant in one. Tom Ka Gai (chicken) dish seemd to be more milky than coconutty and not very flavoursome :( Masamun curry dish was very nice however... tender and spicy The key reason for ther single star however was cockroaches. I'm not from Newcastle so I dont kow if this is an endemic problem but the first issue was a huge cockraoch which ran across my colleagues foot!! I tried to stamp on it but was too slow so we ate in trepidation as to where it went. We then saw a second cockcraoch run down the chair of the next table. Finally another guest's young child pointed to a third cockcroach scuttling across the floor! Staff seemed a bit indifferent to the incident! There is a large TV screen showing soccer which was a bit offputting and detracting from the ambience.

Sorry guys but cant...

I was so impressed with Sticky Thai rice. After going to Thailand, it’s nearly impossible to get authentic quality thai food. This place really blew me away. We ordered the prawn spring rolls and chicken satay for our appetisers. Deep fried pastries with king prawns, a must try. The chicken satay was served with a flavourful satay sauce on 4 skewers. I highly recommend both of them, super tasty. For our main dishes we order the massaman curry with a side of coconut rice. Extremely delicious and creamy. Big chunks of beef and potato with coconut milk and cashew nuts. We also ordered the pad see ew, thick noodles with soy sauce, egg, and veges. Would love to go back and try the pineapple fried rice, pan gang curry, and some other apps. Everything on the menu looked delicious. Staff were nice and restaurant was very comfy. It was so good I forgot to...

My wife and I went for a dinner on Sunday night. We booked in advance online. But because of a system error, the restaurant didn't receive our order. We were led to a table And waited for a while because it was very busy(but not uncomfortably crowded) Once they realised we had ordered online, they apologized and quickly cooked the dishes for us . It was very fresh and delightful. The portion was generous, so as the price. We were actually surprised muat Onlyhow Much we had to pay at the check-out. On top of the surprising price, they offered us a discount on our meal for an inconvenience of the table service which we didn't find so bad or inconvenient. We really appreciated their thoughtful service We would definitely be back for more delicious foods and the good...

A lovely, cosy little Thai restaurant. It seems most of their business comes from takeaways, so the dine-in atmosphere is nice and quiet. Food and drink comes in generous portions - I particularly recommend the stir fried items - pad see ew (we added crispy pork belly) and Tom Yum fried rice were both full of wok hei and delicious. The beef massaman curry had generous hunks of slow-cooked beef. I probably wouldn't order the BBQ pork cheek again as it was quite tough and didn't taste like pork cheek, and the marinade was rather salty and it tasted stir-fried, not grilled/BBQ. I will say their food errs a little on the sweet side, however the portions are very generous and service is friendly and attentive. They gave us some chocolates at the end :)

I've seen people with bad reviews because the food didn't taste good for them. Thai Food is an acquired taste. I am not a Thai person but the food were really great. I had some TOM YUN spicy seafood soup, steamed rice, and a coconut juice. The coconut juice in a glass with some decor was above and Beyond. The soup and the rice I had was EXCELLENT. This place is basically several steps away from NOAH'S ON THE BEACH HOTEL. Staff are friendly and very accommodating. There are alcoholic beverage that you can order if you so desire. Ambiance is very peaceful and just like most small business restaurants with a touch of Thailand decors. Will definitely come back for dinner. kop khun krap (Thank you)

Wow, the food here is to die for. Everything we had was so delicious. The restaurant is a little small but would be suitable for a small group. Lots of coming and going from locals who grab takeaway. Excellent food selection and good drinks menu. Food was presented beautifully and came out quickly despite the heavy number of orders the kitchen was receiving. Service was a little lacking, tables were sticky and it was quite dark inside, which during the summer may add ambience but unfortunately it didn't during our winter visit. Would definitely eat here again and highly recommend the beef massaman.
