The service is great - the staff are efficient & very friendly. Toasties are always good, and the coffee is always great. I realise I'm at risk of copping it from the management here (as I see there have been some pretty cutting responses to average reviews) but telling the staff this in person during busy service, I feel, is pretty inappropriate & not constructive. So here goes: the fish, chips, calamari & potato scallops are often just not good. The oil isn't nice, & I'm guessing, isn't hot enough, as the deep fried foods are all dripping with oil & it's all you can taste whilst eating it, & for hours after. Felt sick the past couple of times we've eaten fish & chips there, so we won't be choosing to eat those items again...

Expensive, low quality cappuccino and sneaky way of charging credit card surcharge. I asked about the surcharge before I paid by Mastercard and was told they don't charge it but checking my receipt I noticed the surcharge. I won't go there again.

My complaint wasn't about the surcharge. My complaint was about the sneaky way your staff collect it. I did ask whether there was a credit card surcharge BEFORE PAYING and was told there wasn't any but when I checked my receipt later I noticed the surcharge on it. I would pay in cash if I was lied about the surcharge before paying. It was dishonesty I was...
