Uncle Billy's Chinese Restaurant — Restaurant in Northbridge

I honestly do not know what's the PINK/RED HEAD LADY's problem.

Me and my partner came here food tonight and looking forward to Uncle Billy's food as returning customer. Unfortunately it was ruined by the Red head service.

The red head servce us with a sour and bitter face. Being rude and overbearing. It was a cold night we just got off Gym with short pant and given a table infront of the entrance with cold wind gushing through the doorway.

My Partner requested to moved to an empyty table away from the entrance. She screamed at her "Hey Mrs! that table is for 5 person. We are operating a supper restaraunt. Thats how it is here! The funny thing is that table is currently empty and its a relatively small table fit for 4 max. Plus you operating a supper restaraunt is not my concern. I'm just asking sincerely whether if we could change seats. Why are you taking it out on us, as if we are the reason you are working this horrendous job.

We asked again to change seats as the cold is unbearable for us. She then allow us to do so unwilingly. After that she was constantly harrassing my partner asking her to move to the other seat claiming that she would be cold in this spot. But my partner is fine with this spot and told her off. She refuse to leave constantly harrassing her. My partner was confuse whats her deal forcing me to switch seats unwillingly.

At this point I was pissed af. I slammed the menu book infornt of her stand up told my partner "lets leave" I lost my appetite. The worst part is the waiter thought I was mad of my partner refusing to switch seats and she get even more aggresive shoving my partner to change seats and telling me "This is just woman being woman" I got so riled up and seeing my partner being uncomfortably harrased. I grab her and leave without odering anything.

I have never in my life felt so disgused and offended untill I met this RED HEAD lady. Her poor customer services and people skills ruined my entire appetite for the night. To add salt to the wound, she even failed to realised her wrongdoing and pushing the blame on my partner and harrasing her aggresively.

My partner was so emotionally hurt and confused of the red head lady pushing the blame and harrassing her.

TO THE OWNER OF THE RESTAURANT. PLEASE I BEGGED YOU FIRE THE RED HEAD LADY. YOU ARE DOING BOTH YOUR BUSINESS AND CUSTOMERS A FAVOUR!!

To the RED HEAD LADY - GOOD JOB...

I had heard that this place was open late and had cheap prices, so we decided to give it a go. We sat down and had a look at the menu, prices generally around $20 per plate, and we like variety so for the two of us it didn't look like it would be THAT cheap meal (perhaps the serving sizes are huge, so you'd get better variety if you were in a big group?), at least no different from normal prices elsewhere... At any rate, I can't comment on the food, maybe it would have been amazing. All I know is that our melamine plates, bowls and little tea cups were all covered in a thin layer of grime with flecks of food here and there. I'm guessing that someone in the back does the dishwashing by hand in a tub of grubby dishwater? It grossed me out, and while I almost never walk out of a restaurant (it just seems so rude!!), I decided it wasn't worth being polite, sucked it up and did exactly that. Bee-lined to another Asian restaurant down the road that I know does cheaper food and has clean plates. By the way, I'm probably the least fussy diner, I never care if there's a random bit of old stuck-on food on a piece of cutlery or something minor, I would just ask for a new one if it bothered me, I know these things happen even if you're using a dish washing machine. But that was bad. I hope it was just a once-off...

my first ever trip down here to Uncle Billy’s!! and definitely love it because of the company im with!! AHHH SUCH A VIBES.

i miss the food, the people and the atmosphere, eating during winter season is really a nice feeling with that cold breeze and eating fried rice🫶🏻

really grateful to have these people in my life and wouldnt trade anything for them, late night talks and good food with them is all that matters.

highly recommend to come here if you’re craving for some chinese food, best to come with ur friends, family or ur loved ones/partner. the fried rice is really tasty and the portion is alot to share with big group, ordered with sweet and sour chicken if i’m not wrong!! (typing this review in 2024 while i went here in 2022)

ordered the chinese tea too, it was okay dont expect sweet tea, unless u put sugar, but it is really a nice feeling to eat hot food, hot drinks during winter season.

if you’re new to perth and been missing chinese food, Uncle Billy’s Chinese Restaurant is the best to satisfy your cravings!! the owner/staff is kind, genuine to take ur orders.
