Long anticipated opening and it has definitely been worth the wait!
Kudos to Yusuf , his family and his team for their vision and entrepreneurship- a more modern, classier iteration of Dapur Van Java in Vic Park ,which in itself is legendary with its Bain Marie full of traditional Indonesian food and wide range of ala carte options...
Kayumanis gets 10/10 for location, decor, cleanliness, hospitality, friendliness and professionalism, speed of service, especially appealing is the al fresco dining overlooking the lush verdant Langley Park and the view of Swan River!
Extensive menu with easy to understand recipe descriptions aided by picture cards to help visualise the dish...the food so beautifully presented and delicious too! We made endless trips back to the counter to make more purchases -kept coming across one delicacy or the other!
You'll be spoilt for choice- should appeal to all age groups and patrons will have endless options of ordering tapas like entrees, hearty mains and to die for desserts - portion size was spot on for us - if you value quality over quantity you'll love this place.
Particularly impressed with how beautiful the lobster dish was as it can be tricky to get seafood right ..
With long opening hours, will suit punters who want to get an early headstart and are looking for a relaxing luxurious brunch... there is the dinner option too...
Alternatively go crazy with exciting brekkie options like coffee with Roti Canai ( think flaky, crispy layered Flatbread meets Daal heaven) or Roti Telur with spicy egg filling !
So what are you waiting for , 132 Terrace Place is the hottest address in town with a beautiful view..we jumped on the train to Elizabeth Quay and enjoyed a 15 minute traffic free walk via the beautiful Supreme Court Gardens to the restaurant. Alternatively get on the bus heading east on the St George's terrace.. the CPP Terrace Road Car Park is very...
Read moreA beautiful experience all round ❤️ the fiid and service, as well as the aesthetic (I would love to see more real plants however the faux ones are still lovely) and the view along riverside drive is really pleasant and relaxing. I had their specially cinnamon drink and OMG it was soooooo good. If you love cinnamon you will absolutely love this drink and will be back for more no doubt. We had the corn fritter also as well as fried rice with 2 chicken kebabs. I have to mention the service again as it was honestly so authentic and really beautiful. Our waiter went above and beyond and had the most lovely manner. His energy is gorgeous ❤️🥰 the energy of the restaurant is also gorgeous. The authentic Indonesian food was really impressive and the presentation stunning. We removed one of the kebabs before this photo was taken and replaced it again for the photo so it doesnt depict the quality of presentation correctly here. I just realised that I can't post photos here for some reason. Apologies. Will try...
Read moreLOVE IT! amazing food and seriously authentic Indonesian flavours! 🇮🇩
We had nasi bakul iga bakar, nasi goreng Bali and mi goreng sayur — all absolute winners. For drinks, we tried es pisang hijau, cranberry asam jawa and apple cinnamon (was eyeing off the klepon latte but it wasn’t available that arvo 😭).
Iga bakar (grilled beef ribs) were melt-in-your-mouth tender, packed with spice and chilli, and served with rice in a traditional woven bakul — loved that little touch of home! Nasi goreng Bali and mi goreng sayur were full of flavour.
Es pisang hijau, OMG so good — like having dessert in drink form! The apple cinnamon one gave a winter market vibes!
Friendly, attentive staff, gorgeous decor, a prime spot opposite Langley Park (near the Concert Hall). Craving the real taste of Indo? Get in here, stat! Highly recommend!!!
PS: It’s the sister restaurant to Dapur Van Java in Vic Park — amazing too, but that’s a review for...
