A fantastic place, being a solo traveler it's good/ interesting to sit back and watch the the other patrons and also the staff. The patrons are all enjoying themselves and seem to like what they are eating and/or drinking. The staff, well, there are two you ladies managing roughly 50 guests perfectly, the are both happy, polite and friendly and always carrying a smile, my drinks have delivered to my table within a couple minutes at most of ordering. The place itself, it has a great 'nice' indoor dining area and a casual outdoor (& slight indoor) area. The food, I had the dry aged sirloin steak, it was quite nice, different to the steak I would normally order so I can't comment too much as there was good and not as good for me but the flavour was all there, but the onion rings that came with it was the best I've ever had, (don't get me wrong, the steak was cooked to my liking perfectly and the flavour was superb, just different to my norm). Now dessert, the choc caramel baked cheesecake IS A MUST!!!!!! I am not usually a dessert/sweet eater but I am tempted to order a second one. Happy eating.

Great sprawling pub towards the outskirts of the City centre at 263 Adelaide Terrace. There Bistro menu has a selection for everyone including some tasty sounding vegetarian dishes like Red Bean Rendang Burger, Mushroom Curry with Brown Basmati Rice or Cesarecce Gorgonzola fonduta, Zucchini, Pumpkin, Cherry tomato, Toasted hazelnuts and Pamezan. They also offer some fantastic daily lunch specials with no bookings neccesary. To top it all off, there is also a great little private dining/function room that can fit 40 seated or 60 cocktail style, or if you have bigger things in mind...... You can hire the entire venue for upto 300 cocktail style. I was attending an amazing networking event for the UN Association of Australia WA Division and would highly recommend this combination of venue and networking to become a regular event.

This is a great little spot if you are after some after work drinks with some nibbles. I recommend the chicken. It was spicy with a delicious crispy coating. There is definitely something for everyone on the menu. There is plenty of seating outside to enjoy people watching. I noticed there is a decent sized room for functions which looked like it could be closed off for exclusiveness. The staff behind the bar were particularly lovely, you could see they worked well as a team to get drinks/ cocktails ordered, made and out. My only criticism would be he was either the manager on duty or owner of the place. He is rude and unnecessarily unpleasant which is a shame for the rest of the team. He’s not enough though for me not to want to return.

Visited Feb 2023. Total garbage. Walked in and ordered a drink at the bar, plus food. Was asked to pay within ten seconds of finalising my initial order, yet requested to run a tab because I was going to order a bottle of wine and dessert. Not one member of staff spoke to me again, even after me sitting through a whole meal with no drink (my empty glass was taken by another employee). People ordered drinks right next to me - I was sitting at the bar - so it's not like I was off in a dim corner. Not even a look my way, but lots of back-and-forth banter between staff and regulars. Finally, when taking my empty plates I was asked if I would like anything else. My response was that I would have liked something else a LONG time ago but no one asked. My bill would have been over double what I spent. If this place can do without me spending my money there, they definitely won't need yours, either. They're obviously not in need of new business. I was scoping this place out for a group of eight international guests, all foodies, all drinkers i.e. maybe a $700-1000 revenue loss. Server got all huffy and coldly defensive about it too when I expressed my displeasure, and whilst I was cold, I was not unpleasant about it. I doubt they GAF and would find no fault with their conduct, though. That kind of vibe.

Do better. Customers pay your bills and keep your business running after some tough times. Why is it my job to force you to take my money?

I wrote this review from a MUCH nicer place around the corner (Grosvenor Hotel - very pleasant service ethos), where I decided to spend more than the extra revenue this garbage dump would have earned with ten seconds or less of customer service. Food at Public House was ok, nothing special (grilled barra, sauce was runny btw, and Greek salad) but nothing to write home about. Mojito was quite ordinary for $18.

Don't bother wasting your money here, because the staff certainly can't be bothered to justify (or even work towards) you parting with it. Spend your money elsewhere.

Aussies, learn REAL customer service....

With the "Feed Me" deal for 2, we were given confusing info about the complimentary drink by the person serving is who was also the manager. Just before the first course, a single margarita was served. We never asked for it. Perhaps naively, we thought it was part of the deal. Later, when paying for the entire meal, I discover the margarita is $17. What could I say? It was uncomfortable to argue. Now, if the margarita was given to us by mistake (to the wrong table) we wouldn't have been charged. If it was part of the included deal, we wouldn't be charged. I can only assume it was given to us, even though we never ordered it, in a deliberate confusion about the complimentary drink offer. The complimentary drink offer was only asked about us later because at first we only got the one drink (the margarita), and then they brought out 2 more drinks. The confusion was, the waitress twice didn't seem to know we paid for the "Feed Me" deal when she returned a few times. It was the manager that took the order at first. It was the manager that would of added the margarita, that we never asked for,...
