The booking staff are wonderful, helpful and friendly. I hold an ACROD pass and was given a parking space at the front. All was going well, I should have phoned them first, as I expected the restaurants would be open! My husband and I arrived at 6.00pm in my wheelchair, we tried in vain to find an entrance open, anyway, a very nice lady opened a door for us and asked us to come inside and relax before the doors officially opened. Then we found that the only place to get food was at the Grab and Go area. The food was not very hot, the Lamb Rogan Josh was tasty but the Arancini balls were a "rip off" at $11 for 3 - yes 3, not very tasty balls and a blob of Aioli. It probably was our fault for not enquiring, but I think it would have been nice to have the closure of restaurants highlighted on a banner at the top of the bookings or information page. Having said that the show was fabulous, and we really enjoyed the experience. A little PS, could an official stand by to check the usage of the lift, as there's only one lift catering for wheelchair and/or disabled people it really is not enough when people with no mobility...

"Sad to do this...normally five stars...and it's not PCH at fault but WASO, which for the second time in two consecutive attendances by us had run out of programmes some 30 minutes before commencement of the concert. We requested and secured a programme for the former from WASO, and have registered a complaint about the latter.

Surely after 90 years WASO can estimate the number of programmes required and do a longer print run as 'insurance'.

To not be able to have a programme before a concert puts us in a poor mood from the moment we arrive, placing extra onus on the players and other staff to make our visit pleasant. It does all of WASO a disservice..."

This was my rating several years ago. How things have improved!

Aside from now having our programs available on-line, last night we were offered a printed program on arrival with a very polite request that we share as programs were limited. A good result...a means of limiting paper and ink wastage, and a sensible, respectful...

The concert hall is set so far back from St Georges Terrace that it looks rather drab and unimposing.

From the inside it is a lovely auditorium and I am told it has some of the best Acoustics have any concert hall in Australia. There are also cafes and restaurants.

Parking is available under the building operation from the river side along Terrace Road however our van is too high to fit in so this is only suitable for smaller vehicles.

There is plenty of parking available on the other side of Terrace Road

If you approach the building from St Georges Terrace it is a bit strange in that this level is the first floor of the building and often the doors are locked unless there's a concert on. So you may have to go around the right-hand side of the building down to the lower level where the main entry and booking desk is.

I used to exhibit my painting this here but it is not a very good venue for...

Perth concert hall is an older building that is very well maintained, the bathrooms were clean and the seats comfortable enough, but they do not fold up. It was very difficult for some people to get through to there seat due to how close the seats were together. The staff were excellent and very helpful, there was no lines even though there were a lot of people at the concert I went to. Unfortunately the parking underground was not available so everyone had to park across the road, while there was adequate parking for the event trying to get out took almost 30 minutes!

Went to Handel by Candle evening with the Perth Symphony, the UWA chorus and the Aquinas College boys choir. It was a sell out and a beautifully choreographed show. It had everything, talented musicians, massed choirs, and an organ solo, presenting a well chosen line up of Handel music. To cap it off it was all woven together and skillfully introduced by an MC who added some anecdotes and some personality to the music and the musicians. Five stars.

We have been here twice in the last month for the Wakakirri performance nights and awards grand final night 2. We found the Perth concert Hall staff to be fantastic to our large group of students and the facilities were brilliant It's a great venue for this sort of story dance and drama competition and is much better than the previous venue used for years and years. Parking for parents and performers was so easy. What a beautiful building indeed.
