Day we get there, cockroaches everywhere, whole place was filthy, nothing had been cleaned at all, we had no time to tell the receptionist because we had to go to The Music of Hans Zimmer at the Perth Concert Hall - which was spectacular - the same night, so we left. When we got back, we told the receptionist about the literal breeding grounds of every cockroach in existence, the lady at reception was very kind and upgraded us from a 3 bed to family room (4th floor to the 6th floor), the upgrade was much bigger than the roach room, and had two semi balconies, although this new room was also pretty filthy. It was time for bed, I was looking forward to this sleep because it was late and I made a five hour drive to get to Perth, but unfortunately I had A FIVE MILLION LUMEN LIGHT pointing up in the direction of my balcony/window! Like why even put a light there, pro tip: don't stay in room 632 if you like to keep your eye retinas. Lucky they had a curtain to cover the balcony door. Morning - day two, sirens blaring past the hotel on the main road, to be expected as it is pretty busy being in the middle of Perth City. We had a big day that day, we spent the day walking around Fremantle, and it is very pretty there, has a lot of old building which I really like (a lot of photo opportunities 📷), went to the marine museum and the pub next to it, as well as going to alot of small stores around the suberb. We went back to the hotel to get dressed for dinner, and there's just people outside, smoking, like really?! Right outside a hotel, must be some hotspot for smoking or something. We get dressed for dinner and start walking to Public House, which is just down the road of the hotel, I definitely would recommend going to Public House, has some gluten free options as well. We walk back to the hotel, people are still smoking out the front, we head up to our room, chill out for a while, get dressed for bed, close the curtain to protect my innocent eyes, and I hop into bed. Something like 1 in the morning, some guy yelling about in the hallway on our floor, starts ranting about "getting kicked out", " give stuff back" etc. he goes on for like a few hours and he stops, must have gotten drunk or something. We go back to sleep. We wake up, and in a hurry we leave this unforgiving place. I give this horrible hagging hotel a 10/10, 10 meaning 10 people definitely died here Wouldn't recommend staying here

Unfortunately this was one of the worst rooms I have ever stayed in. I have to start this review by saying the front desk staff are beyond delightful and are just wonderfully friendly. The location wasn’t bad either. The room however was just incredibly run down. There was so sense of pride in this accom. There were food crumbs on the sofa (which were promptly cleaned once I brought it to the front staffs attention), the chain lock was broken, the cupboard was hanging off its hinge, there was a big white stain on the bed cover, the vent in the bathroom didn’t work and was very dirty and there were smudges of ‘stuff’ throughout on the walls and light fittings. The bed was so old I could literally see massive indentations from many many years of people sleeping on them - you can imagine the comfort level…just yucky and really old. Pair that with a neighbour who played loud music into the early hours and didn’t answer his door when staff knocked, plus another room across the hallway that opened and shut their door every hour to go and smoke smoke downstairs, very dark hallways and just generally odd vibe made my stay feel quite unsafe. To add to the unsafe feeling there were some odd characters hanging outside and shuffling up and down the hallways in bare feet (not offensive but it just didn’t feel comfortable). If I wasn’t so tired and there on a work trip I would have left. In retrospect I should have. So incredibly disappointing. Despite the delightful staff I could not recommend this place.

One star but should be 0 stars. I booked a 4 night stay here as a treat after staying in hostels throughout my time in Australia. Unfortunately, I have stayed in bottom of the budget hostels with a better approach than this place. On arrival I found that one of the main lights didn’t work, leaving the room very dark at night, dirt leaking out of the aircon, no sockets by the bed which was advertised on booking.com, and the TV was a small TV that looked about 20 years old rather than the flatscreen TV also advertised on booking.com. I later on noticed that the cutlery and crockery were all dirty, and possibly the worst, one of the towels hung up for me to use in the bathroom had a red stain on it. It was clearly visible on the towel when it was hung up, so how housekeeping didn’t notice this is unfathomable. Furthermore the vent in the bathroom blew air that stank of cigarette smoke into the bathroom, very unpleasant. The room also came with a balcony, but no table or chairs to actually sit down and relax out there. The staff were friendly enough, and the hotel offered free luggage storage. But overall my stay here was completely ruined by the state of the room. For a hotel with “comfort” in the name, the lack of care taken was disgusting. Will never stay here again and highly recommend you avoid at all costs.

I am editing and putting 3 stars because I don't want to deter people from staying here. It has great location, tasty breakfast, cooking facilities, spacious room size and the ability to get 4 stars though because of not so good experience from my side they missed getting it from me. Details below:

Service - 1 star for polite talk by some receptionists not all.I had requested for a change of room as I had booked for 10 nights and though the room 209 was okay(see below for room details) but I needed a better toilet ( comodo was in a congested space) and balcony( only if possible) .Now this is what I was told ,read on.They were busy on the weekend that I checked in and was I informed that on Monday it can be done as some rooms would get free.I placed the request but nobody got back to me on Monday, when I called again at 10 am on Monday, the lady at reception told that I would have to check out of my room and keep my luggage in the lobby and wait till 1 pm to get the room,as it had to be ready.Really? Then why did I place the request in the weekend for change and nothing was done?Morever where would I go for 3 hours. I payed for continuous 10 nights and does not make sense to vacate my room before I get another. Check-in time is 2 pm ,you could have got my current room ready in 1 hr (enough time) after you gave me the new room ,till then I could have stayed in my room why should I pack and move out for 3 hrs? They charge extra for every hr after the check-out time and they want me to stay out for 3 hrs which is already paid.Ridiculous. And generally a person who books for longer duration are allocated better rooms from day one as they are long staying customers and not asked to move out for few hours. Respect in hospitality business? anyone?? I was asked to check back again on Thursday for new room availability,if I cannot move out for 3 hrs.Wow! Excellent! Bad service. You don't even have an electric extension socket ,although there are not enough plug points in the room for 2 people to use after plugging in the toaster, hot plates and water boiler(this one I asked for a new one as the one present in the room was dirty and oily and not properly cleaned) though I had to use the dirty one on the night of arrival as it was late night and I had no other option. Most important point - house keeping throws all the bedsheets and pillows on the floor before making up the bed with the same again(dirty practice ) . I saw this asked them to give me fresh sheets and reported to manager who told this is wrong practice and he will check on this. No idea what happened afterwards. You are getting even 3 stars because of below 2 points not your service. You could have got better here and increased you rating. So please improve.

Hotel Rooms- 3 stars :Rooms though old still Spacious with kitchenette, utensils, wardrobe sofas,TV with movie channels.Could have got 4 stars but for the Toilet room which is though spacious but the toilet is just beside the shower and is in tight space and the shower position is such water falls out onto the floor while taking a bath. I understand its an old building but Compared to other hotels I have to give 3 stars here.

Breakfast-5 stars:Good Breakfast ,though some items stay same, few items change the next day.For example- one day 1 they had fried rice and bread toast which changed to noodles and pancakes, though other items stayed same.Taste good and healthy and enough options. The guy who handles the breakfast room on weekday mornings and the night manager who is originally from Poland are the best people...

Dear manager of Comfort Inn Suites Perth,

I recently stayed at your hotel from 27/3/2025 night to 29/3/2025 morning, and unfortunately on 28/3/2025 at night time , I feel very disappointed with your hotel service and our family feels humiliated.

On 28/3/2025 at night time in room 705 First Incident:
The hairdryer in my room was broken. I contacted reception, and while I appreciated their effort to send a replacement, the second hairdryer provided was also defective. Upon calling back, I was informed that there were no functioning hairdryers available in the entire hotel. This is unacceptable for a hospitality establishment, as basic amenities like a functioning hairdryer should always be provided.

Second Incident: I encountered a large cockroach on the bed. When I requested assistance from the hotel staff, they simply asked us to go down to the counter to get an insect spray ourselves instead of addressing the issue themselves. The spray proved ineffective, and the cockroach remained alive. Worse, the excessive use of insect spray filled the room with a strong and harmful odor in the enclosed environment, making it difficult to breathe. I experienced coughing and dizziness as a result.

When I requested a room change due to these conditions, the staff initially claimed there were no vacant rooms and refused to assist or offer a refund. The security staff unreasonably suggested that I should have checked the room thoroughly before confirming my stay. This suggestion is impractical, as cockroaches are mobile creatures that can hide and emerge at any time. Instead of addressing the issue, the security shifted blame onto me, accusing me of using too much insect spray, and asked us to give more respect to their hotel.

After waiting for around 1 hour, the receptionist finally phoned the manager. The manager appeared and suddenly "found" a vacant room 420, allowing me to move. However, no apologies were offered by any staff members, either for the inconvenience caused or the poor handling of the situation and the manager didn’t even give any explanation or speak a single sentence with us. As a result of these incidents, we could not get to bed until 3am, which severely affected our next day schedule and our energy level.

Key Concerns of your hotel service Lack of functional equipment (hairdryer) and insufficient replacements.
Poor pest control and ineffective solutions provided to guests.
Health hazards caused by excessive insect spray in a closed environment.
Unhelpful and dismissive attitude from staff, including refusal to offer a timely resolution or apology.

I am extremely disappointed with the service I received during my stay. This experience reflects poorly on the hotel's standards and commitment to guest satisfaction. I hope the management takes immediate steps to address these issues and prevent similar incidents for future guests. Given the unacceptable service and distressing experience during my stay, I kindly request a reasonable explanation and compensation. If this matter is not resolved satisfactorily within one week, I will have no choice but to raise my concerns by sharing this disappointing experience on Trip.com and with Tourism Western Australia( Email: info@westernaustralia.com https://www.tourism.wa.gov.au/who-we-are/contact-us). I trust that you will take this matter seriously and respond promptly to ensure that such incidents do not occur again. Thank you for your attention....
