From the moment we walked into Pasta e Vino, we knew we were in for something special. The warm and attentive service set the tone for an exceptional dining experience. Every dish we ordered was a standout — the fresh, handmade pasta was truly next level, showcasing the care and craftsmanship that goes into every plate. The ingredients were top quality, and you could really taste the difference. Their cocktail menu is creative and well-executed, and the wine list offers a thoughtful selection that pairs beautifully with the food. And just when we thought it couldn’t get better — the dessert arrived. Decadent, beautifully presented, and absolutely delicious. The perfect way to end an already flawless meal. This little restaurant is an absolute gem on Macrossan Street — charming, authentic, and full of heart. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a memorable meal in Port Douglas.

🛑caution🛑 The main meal servings are extremely small. See picture for $38 I received 18 pieces of pasta. I am not forgetting about the sauce but it was only mincemeat not a true pulled beef Ragu, so cheap meat was used. (It was nice tasting, but just bolognaise). We paid $12 for the basket of bread which was two pieces of sourdough cut in half one piece of focaccia cut in half and some small very hard/inedible knobs of bread. The taste of the pasta was nice but we had to stop for another meal on the way home. The serving is incredibly small for the price and it is definitely not worth the money. When pasta is so cheap and this is a “main meal”, why not include a little bit more to have a happy customer.

Definetely a place to visit if you want to feel abused!!! Pushy waitress wanting you to spend more and more, $38 for a risotto which was nothing special (picture attached), it was served cold and a small portion. Pasta was okay. The worst part $10 for a still water, when we clearly ordered tap water. I complaint about the $10 for a tap water and they said it was still, curious is that the bottle was unbranded, bottle came open and was similar to the ones on every table served as a regular tap water. Unless you want to argue when you are having a good time on holidays, enjoy plenty of other non-abusive places on the lovely Port Douglas :)

Walked by this place in the mood for pasta. Was not disappointed by the quality of the fresh pasta. I had the lamb ragu which was excellent (however maybe a bit salty depending on your own taste). The portion for $39 was a little short. My wife ordered the risotto. There is a picture of the risotto in the 1 star reviews (which you should look at before ordering) and I wish we had looked at before we ordered it as it was $40. Rice, cheese, and porcini mushrooms and the portion was quite small. While it was well prepared, perhaps the owners should consider lowering the price depending on the ingredients and portion size. I disagree with another 1 star review that the children’s menu serves cat bowl sized portions. The children’s bolognese came out with a large side of Parmesan and for the $15 price was the best deal at the restaurant by far. Our waitress was extremely nice and accommodating but I was a little disappointed in her knowledge of the house curated wines. I asked if she would recommend the Shiraz or the Chianti with my lamb and she didn’t know. Happy to say the Shiraz was well chosen by the restaurant and paired nicely with the lamb. Side note, our 3 year old daughter was with us and she is very rambunctious. The older lady server, not our server seemed very annoyed by her and we received a strangely loud and sarcastic “goodbye” as we left the restaurant. Best to keep the kids at home and be ready to open up your...

I'm not a person to write reviews unless the the experience is excellent or terrible.....in this case I'm very puzzled.... our experience was some what bad.... We found the staff and the atmosphere to be polite and cozy. But the food was not great and we overpaid for something that was not of a great standard and portions should be questioned...... I'd like to point out to the owners of this restaurant that, Italian food, pasta in particular, historically is known world wide for its portion sizes. Pasta was created to feed the people, its a meal, I'm not suggesting to overfill the plate, I understand that you want to on-sell other dishes........ what we got was not a meal, it was actually small and inedible......... I'm an international traveller and have dined at many restaurants around the world, I am of Italian heritage also....... I'm all for creating and experimenting, especially with pasta's, there are so many ways to serve it up, have fun with your creations but please make sure that its edible and portioned correctly. You guys are Italian, Italian food should be about satisfying and enjoyment, don't ruin the experience that you give to...

I rarely leave a bad review but I feel that my dinner was ruined by the rude attitude of the waitress. Food was good, I ordered the ragu pasta and it was quite tasty. I’m from Sydney and you can ask over there in many authentic Italian restaurants for some bread to finish the sauce of your pasta. I asked the lady if they do that “complementary bread” or you need to order it. I found super rude that as an answer she decided to remind me that any complementary thing is something that only happens in my country. I was surprised cos after her rude answer she kept trying to convince me that it’s definitely something you wouldn’t find anywhere in Australia. It felt unnecessary and it kind of ruined my dinner. On the other side if you get the other waiter the Australian male waiter, you are in luck. Even tho he didn’t take our order he was checking on us and if we were enjoying the food. Sadly the waitress who I believe is also the owner didn’t share the...
