We got them to deliver which they manage themselves but unfortunately the chips and onion rings were cold by the time they arrived. Onion rings were so salty actually hard to eat (and I don’t mind salt tbh but this was a little too much) I understand it’s hard keeping things hot though with deliveries. My husband ordered a burger and paid to add pineapple and avocado, neither of which were on his burger. We asked for the beef patty to be cooked well done as I’m pregnant, it was totally pink inside which meant I couldn’t eat it. I ordered a salad add field mushrooms with dressing on the side. The dressing wasn’t on the side annoyingly and the 2 field mushrooms were put on top of the salad so by the time it arrived all the black mushroom juice had leaked through the salad and all over the ingredients including the apple (black mushroom juice apple is not too appealing) and the bottom of the cardboard box split open when I picked it up out of the bag due to the moisture. I would suggest they box these separately with some sort of baking paper liner to avoid this. Anyway sadly not a great dinner for us tonight, pretty disappointed and wouldn’t be...
Read moreWent here for a birthday. Was absolutely shocked that a $25 burger looked like a McDonalds cheeseburger. $24 nachos is a quarter bag of LITERAL out of the bag Doritos with some slop, and the salad was some stone cold burnt chicken pieces on a wet sloppy salad. I've eaten food from sketchy looking places in backstreet alleys in third world countries and have never in my entire life (I'm 32) been served food as appalling. There was a 40 minute wait time when the shop was rather empty on a friday night (I can see why), the birthday girl was served a milkshake by a half-cut looking bloke in a flanno who I at first mistook for another patron.
I'm really surprised because the photos of the food on google reviews look absolutely amazing, but sadly are the complete opposite of what...
Read morePopular little burger joint that does take-away as well. My partner and came here our first night in Port Mac. We found this place almost packed out, but the exceedingly friendly staff found us a seat outside in the late afternoon breeze.
I got the BBQ Beef + Bacon. The patty was good and the egg was perfectly runny on the inside, but the real standout was the deliciously caramelised onions. My partner had dietary restrictions, so got the Mushroom + Haloumi Burger Bowl. I had the haloumi (which was lovely) and apparently the rest was good too. She particularly enjoyed the big fried portabello mushroom that was the centrepiece of the dish.
Usually I have pictures with restaurant reviews, but my partner and I smashed our awesome meals down before realising we hadn't...
