Couldn’t be more disappointed with the food from this restaurant. Bought takeaway prawn Penang curry, jasmine rice, vegetable spring rolls and potato wrapped prawns.
First the good - the flavour of the Penang curry was just what you’d expect, spicy with a strong typically Thai flavour.
The bad - it was something of a stretch to call it a prawn curry when there were only six small prawns hidden in the curry. Not sure how the prawns managed to hide as the only vegetables in the curry consisted of three tiny pieces of broccoli, two wilted pieces of baby corn and a few slivers of carrot. The jasmine rice was about the consistency of glue and tasted not quite as good. the spring rolls were flavourless and oily the potato wrapped prawns were simply atrocious and inedible
The VERY bad - The Penang curry was $21.90 on its own. The whole meal came to $42.80 or thereabouts. Without a doubt, this was the worst Thai food experience I have ever had. Can’t help but feel like we’ve been ripped off. Bad food and getting massively overcharged for it.
Never again,...
Read moreIt pains me to say it, but our dining experience last night wasn't anywhere near the standard it has been in the past. Starting with the young waiter, who unftly had no idea of the menu, we asked him about 1 of the entrees, he couldn't tell us what it was, we asked him to find out for us, he went inside, answered the ph, packed some takeaway, came back out to us & when we asked him, he still was confused, then he bght our mains out & left our empty entree plates on the table, I undstand every1 has to start somewhere, but some training of the menu items & service should be paramount, then to the food. The potato wrapped prawns were half the size as last time, quite oily also, the crab claw was delicious, Mains of Laksa, was tasty, but asked for chilli to give it abit more depth, Hokkien Noodle & Chang Mai Rice, again very oily. The head chef came to take our plates was happy & friendly, but we were...
Read moreNorthpoint Tai Cuisine may boast flavors that tantalize taste buds, but their portion sizes are shockingly diminutive – more suited for a child's appetite than a discerning diner's. This is a glaring shortcoming compared to the generous servings at other Thai establishments. The atmosphere, rather than transporting patrons to the lively streets of Thailand, is lackluster, failing to ignite the expected vibrancy. Service here is not just lackadaisical but downright inefficient, with staff seemingly oblivious to the urgency of customer needs. Despite the commendable flavors, Northpoint Tai Cuisine's underwhelming portions, uninspiring ambiance, and subpar service collectively to what should be an exceptional...
