Eating here made me realise that I'm a pretty mean person. A man (boy) in front of me had his card decline & man (boy) I was so embarrassed for him. Of course I didn't offer to pay for him, as I am not Mr Bezos. I wonder if I should focus more on my own issues, like why I'm so basic in my sushi choices? I should branch out more, expand my culinary horizons to more than just "something" and avocado. There are a lot of tables you can't sit at in the food court at the moment. I think some mightve been booked for a wedding today, since there was a whole area fenced off. It's a nice spot with a good view either over the escalator or down Mylne Street so I guess why not? Another thing I notice about the food court is the variety of people here. It's a unifying environment. Businesswomen, tradies, the unemployed, people who look and behave like they're (poorly) trying to avoid the authorities. Loners (by choice or otherwise), couples (by choice or otherwise) and even the odd celebrity (we saw Will.i.am here one time) all gather here. What I suppose I'm saying is food brings us all together. Especially cheap, convenient, mostly Asian food. The sushi itself is all quite good, especially if you like things with avocado.

Me and my younger sister went to get sushi here for lunch. All was fine until we sat down and looked at the rolls (3 of the mayo chicken types and chicken avocado) and all of the chicken mayo ones meat was pink. I understand sometimes it can appear a pink colouration to certain cooking methods, however as you can see in the images attached it is BRIGHT PINK. I walked over for a replacement since it clearly isn’t worth risking to eat, and had to spend at least 5 minutes explaining I just want a replacement of food which isn’t RAW. After we finally get it i see that the new batch is no different. I went back to get my money back and was met with “it’s not pink it’s cooked look it’s not pink” … sir I’m not colour blind ☹️ I can clearly see it’s pink gaslighting me will not change the fact it was unacceptable to serve to people. Especially to the fact my 7 year old sister took a bite and alerted me cause even she knew it was strange 🤦🏻‍♀️.Overall the girls serving me and attending to me the times I visited were polite and nice but unfortunately cannot say the same for the man working there which seems to be a manager. Images 1 and 2 was the first batch and the 3rd photo was the “replacement”

Worst sushi, worst customer experience, worst atmosphere. Staff were rude and sour (unhappy?). Using the words "Japanese Fine Dining" on your sign is an absolute farce and an innapripriate misuse of all 3 words. This business is an insult to Japanese people and culture. Staff were making fresh sushi rolls behind the counter so I asked if they could make a couple without avocado (I'm allergic). There were no other customers waiting. I received a rude 'no' reply, and when I tried to clarify my request (seemed like they misunderstood my simple request) the manager stepped in and very rudely said they would do it for a 50% surcharge. Despite the rudeness I still purchased a roll for my child. Regretful decision considering the poor quality of the overpriced food.
