No vegan options on the menu. Decided to order the smashed avocado without the feta and 2 poached eggs and asked for those to be replaced with spinach instead as they had no other alternative options. I was charged extra for the spinach even though it was supposed to be a substitute and spinach is cheaper than feta and 2 eggs. I was starving and it was hot so I couldn't be bothered questioning the extra charge.
Edit: I understand that it was not in the smashed avo - what I don't understand is why I should be charged EXTRA for a substitution unless the substitution costs more than what is originally on the plate. I own a restaurant so I know how this goes, we only charge more if the substitution costs more e.g replacing chips with mash. We won't charge more if you ask for more salad instead of chips because chips cost us more than a simple garden salad. We don't take advantage of customers. I don't know if this is just a cronulla thing but this wouldn't fly in the western suburbs in this...
Read more96 Degrees is situated right off main St Cronulla, offering a perfect little hideout from the busy street. Walking in you're greeted by staff with a smile and absolutely exceptional customer service.
The breakfast and lunch menu are vast and excellently priced. 96 Degrees offers both Gluten Free and Vegan options on their all day breakfast menu as well as their lunch menu, making it the perfect location, whatever your dietary requirements are.
I ordered the Eggs Benedict and for a fair increase, got a third muffin and egg. It was absolutely fantastic and clearly the ingredients were sourced locally and fresh. The Eggs had a warm orange yolk rather than yellow and were cooked beautifully.
The drink menu is so exceptional, I had the strawberry milkshake which obviously didn't use the standard cafe flavouring, and tasted so much more like the real thing - I've never had anything like it before.
I'd highly recommend 96 Degrees for a quick coffee trip or a...
Read moreFood was very expensive and not good at all. The big breakfast had wet soggy spinach dumped on the plate, cold hash brown, very gresy bacon. I paid an extra 6 dollars for mushrooms that were the tiniest little mushrooms Ive ever seen and there were 6 of them . $1 per tiny mushroom. My friend had eggs benedict and they put the wet sloppy spich on the toast which made it wet and gross. My eggs were nicely poached and that was the only nice thing about my meal. My friends scrambled eggs looked terrible and had no taste. We both had a tea and all together the bill was $75. What a rip off. The place was packed so we thought it must be great. Very disappointing and overpriced for what you get. We ate it because we were starving but wouldnt recommend and we...
