Shokupan is a niche artisanal product in Australia. If you think the best bread is wonder white and never eat anything else, this might not be for you, but if you want to experience white bread and toast into one of its best forms then you should try some bread here. You could have a simple slice of bread or toast here to start, and pay lots of attention to the smaller details, like the airy lightness of the bread, the wonderful texture as you peel off a piece, the slightest hint of sweetness from the dairy. This is all naturally leavened and unlike your commercial white bread is better for your stomach to digest. Try it and see, it'll cost more than your standard bread but it is an expensive artisanal process using hokkaido flour. This standard of bread is great, even if you were to compare it to...

Been here(with my partner) a dozen times now! Service is incredibly kind, fast and the quality of their products is amazing. I'm an extra strong Matcha girl and the quality is always good, the matcha isn't sweetened as well which is perfect for me! They make my extra strong skimmed milk latte really well and my partner's Hojicha latte the same. There's never unresolved matcha in the latte, always nice and smooth and the marble toasted matcha bread is really nice too. The best part of the store is that you can see them making the fresh bread behind the counter. They also have a selection of teas available in the store and Chai. My to go to place to get my latte, yet the only sad thing is that they are closed on days that I'm...

Great Shokupan range! 🍞 and friendly staff and awesome service! Will definitely be back! Love the Matcha marble! Can really taste the difference, amazing.

Don’t know why most of the reviews on here people are complaining about the prices. Simple if you think it’s pricey then no one is forcing you to buy it. Try and take into consideration the time and effort gone into baking these breads. There’s also labour costs, rent and operating costs and also the cost of ingredients. It’s also a small artisan bakery which only sell a small amount of these bread. It’s not like a large bakery which bake thousands of loaves daily and sell to the masses. So do yourself a favour and just enjoy the delicious taste and savour the moment life...
