It was around 7pm when I went there. After I sat down, I asked an older woman wearing glasses twice if I could place an order. She was told to wait a moment. Maybe the boss? She was not responsible for taking orders, so we waited for the waiter to take our orders. Although there were indeed many people at the time, the waiter didn't know where he was, and the table turnover rate was extremely low! There were four mobile people, and three of them had to order together. It took a long time to order, and everyone was busy. I wonder where they were busy? What are you busy with? We ordered a lamb kebab and a fried noodles. The mutton kebabs are super awful. It's very smelly, with no other taste except the smell of mutton. The fried noodles we ordered were a small portion, but within 2 minutes of eating, this woman with glasses came again and said only one sentence, "The fried noodles you ordered are a small portion, but this one is a large portion." We were stunned for a moment. We didn’t even say that we were wrong, and they asked us to pay a large amount of money. Ask her if she said it was a mistake? She said yes, but she didn't tell us when we were served that it was the wrong order, nor did she say she would change it to a smaller portion for us. We said we didn't know it was a small portion, but she just said it looked like a large portion. Am I the boss or the waiter here? I know what is a small portion and what is a large portion here. Then she asked us if we wanted a large portion. When we refused, she replaced the large portion of noodles with a small portion and served it to us again. The funniest part of the whole process was that there was no apology or explanation. We were asked to pay for a larger portion for a larger portion, and finally changed to a smaller portion after...
Read moreIn the heart of the culinary landscape, I encountered Apandim Uyghur Restaurant, a gastronomic haven that embodies the diverse flavors of the Uyghur culture. While the taste of the food was decent, the ambiance of the restaurant did not match the quality of the cuisine.
The menu at Apandim Uyghur Restaurant offers a unique and authentic blend of flavors, with traditional Uyghur dishes ranging from lamb skewers to hand-pulled noodles and dumplings. The spices and seasonings are expertly balanced, creating a delectable and memorable culinary journey.
However, the lackluster ambiance of the restaurant detracts from the overall experience. The atmosphere feels uninspired and plain, with minimal decor or embellishments that could enhance the dining experience. The seating arrangement feels cramped and rushed, leaving one to feel that they are dining more for the food and less for the ambiance.
Despite this, the staff at Apandim Uyghur Restaurant are friendly and attentive, always willing to go the extra mile to ensure their guests' satisfaction. Their hospitality adds a much-needed warmth to the dining experience, making it more pleasant and memorable.
While the taste of the food at Apandim Uyghur Restaurant is decent, the ambiance does not measure up. Nevertheless, the staff's hospitality and the restaurant's unique flavors make it worth a visit for anyone seeking an authentic Uyghur...
Read moreThis is one of my favourite small restaurants that I enjoy going to. This place makes fresh noodles with fresh ingredients. Their menu is small so you're not overwhelmed with choices. It is generally a very clean place but they do need to pay attention to ensuring that the tray with condiments on are also kept clean. They also need to ensure that their glass water flasks are not chipped. On the day that I was there I met up with a friend and we ordered a pot of tea. The waitress told my friend to use the glasses that were given for the water to pour the tea into those glasses. My friend requested a separate set of glasses for us. Eventually the waitress gave it to us. My advice to the owners are to use ceramic tea sets instead of glass as the glasses could break with hot water. The waitress also had an attitude towards accommadating customers. This tested my friend who ended up telling her up. This is a beautiful restaurant with beautiful helal food so I hope the owners take on-board my advice to train their staff to be respectful towards their customers. I was embarrassed by the waitress attitude especially because I love this restaurant. This restaurant has a big picture on its wall depicting a strong culture connections that my friend...
