This little sweetie shop is located below a residential building away from the main part of Chatswood mall. It’s good to see that these tong sui places still exists because you don’t see many of them open nowadays. It’s only a small shop but seems to attract quite a number of locals, mainly asians. The menu is quite good and there is quite a number to choose from at very cheap affordable prices. We were quite surprised, if you order hot the bowls are huge and cold a lot smaller so not sure what’s the go for that. My only negative would be that’s it’s not very sweet so lacks a bit of flavour compared to tong sui shops I’ve tried. Apart from sweet soup, they offer some savoury dishes, Chinese style waffle, pudding and drinks. The shop is cosy with modern furnishings and light. Can get busy and crowded especially after 7:30pm. One last thing to mention is the minimum spend for each person regardless of age is $4 pp and they do accept...
Read moreAfter dinner in Chatswood, I found this highly-rated spot and decided to give it a try right away! It’s about an 8-10 minute walk from the train station. I arrived a little before 8 PM, and the place was almost full.
Orders are placed at the counter. There’s a decent variety to choose from, though some items were already sold out. The prices are quite reasonable for Sydney, around $5-6 per item.
🍮 Mango Pudding $7 I saw someone else order this, and though it wasn’t on the menu, I asked, and they actually had it! It wasn’t too sweet, with chewy little rice balls and a nicely ripe, sweet mango. It looked small but was surprisingly filling.
🥥 Taro Sago in Coconut Milk $5.8 I originally wanted the purple sweet potato version, but they were out. The taro flavor was similar enough, though. It wasn’t overly sweet; most of the sweetness came from the coconut milk itself. A really satisfying...

We enjoyed both these desserts 😋
What should we have next? 😊
June 2024 A friend raved about this dessert hut, claiming their Cantonese-style desserts were authentic and delicious. After dinner in Chatswood, we (a party of two) seized the perfect opportunity to check out Auntie Sweetie.
We tried:
Black Sesame Soup Fu Chuck (Tofu Skin) with Egg and Pearl Barley Peach Gum with White Fungus and Milk (to take away) Bubble Waffle
We absolutely loved everything we tried! The flavors were delightful and not too sweet, allowing the natural taste of each ingredient to shine. Everything was hearty and reasonably priced. We can’t wait to revisit Auntie Sweetie and explore more of their...
