Chatswood Monkey Bar — Restaurant in Sydney

If you are Caucasian, don't bother wasting your time here. They will let Asian people roll around drunk, vomit and smash into glass walls, however Caucasian people are only served one drink and told that's it. I have observed this several times over the past month, however tonight, as dezzie driver- I was refused. Only previously having 2 drinks earlier in the night (6 hours prior) they simply would not serve me, however they served the Asian girl beside me who could not even get her purse out and then dropped her money everywhere. The people running the joint are Asian and to me, to allow the Asian people to get really drunk and only serve max 2 drinks to Caucasian people is a racist move on their part. Once you get inside the Monkey Bar it's basically a pokie gambling den with a bar. Unfortunately the last couple of times I've been there the security has told me the bar (somewhat rudely) is at capacity, so I'll never return. It used to have really nice beer glasses which made an ordinary beer taste like gold, but the last time I went there they seemed to revert back to normal schooners. Better options in the area. I came here to get away from the bad weather and to share a bottle of white with a friend. Service was kind but not quick nor necessarily efficient. It was very quiet and with the (5) guests they had she still forgot to put the food order through to the kitchen. After 35min we asked about when we could expect the food and the manager came out and apologised for the situation. Food came out promptly after that.
