Picture this if you will. it’s Sunday,exactly one week before Christmas Your out shopping in Penrith, alongside 10,000 other unprepared souls trying to figure out what to get the person that says they want “nothing”, it’s been two hours and yet your still no closer to achieving your goal. You admit defeat and leave empty handed and hangry, On the way out bright orange neon lights catch your eye; Betty’s burgers!!! Walking in I couldn’t help but notice the place was spotless, I mean you could drop an onion ring on the floor and not even worry about the five second rule from when you were four years old kind of clean. The front of house staff were polite, efficient and well presented, no stray hairs coming my way. I placed my order, and took a seat. 8 minutes later, My order was ready, 8 minutes!!!!!, I’ve waited longer at an unnamed burger establishment a few doors down just to be seated. Diving into my burger, admittedly a little too quick and burning my mouth, always a good sign of freshness, the patty was juicy and tender, the cheese melted perfectly over the whole burger rather than half stuck to the inside of the packaging, just the right amount of sauce to not drop any escapees on my white collared shirt. The fries were cooked to perfection crisp and crunchy on the outside yet fluffy on the inside all washed down with a Betty’s signature custard strawberry shake that was just to die for. Final review: Restaurant layout- 8.5/10, huge dining area inside and out with clean welcoming feel. Outdoor fans could definitely come in handy in these hot summer months Service- 10/10, very polite and efficient. Food - 9/10, exactly what you expect from an American style burger joint, everything I ate was fresh and was left with very happy tastebuds. Pricing- 7.5/10, for just under $30 I was very satisfied, I have paid more for a much worse experience and I will always value quality over cost.

Very accommodating staff who go above and beyond. I’ve loved Betty’s burgers for years and came in as usual yesterday. My friend and I didn’t realise our burgers were mixed up as one was placed with the wrong side so my allergens and intolerances started reacting the moment I bit into it as I was exhausted and didn’t thoroughly check as I usually do. We not long after realised the mistake that occurred on both ends. The person handling the situation (I never got her name) was very emphatic and understanding. Even if I didn’t request it because I felt horrible about the it she had the food remade correctly, ensured my well being was safe and met when it came to the nausea I was experiencing and provided a complimentary gift for next time I am in. I have never experienced to that level the service and human empathy like that in other food venues prior when errors from either side have occurred as I’ve usually been invalidated or ignored because of my health needs. I want to recognise her and say how amazing she was at handling that circumstance when we were all confused and I in particular was overwhelmed physically and emotionally. The food was oily and pricey, but definitely not bad, and the service was good - but a bit too good!! I came here on a double-date - my friends were given one tray for two meals, so they had to awkwardly share the tray to eat over, and they said that although their burgers were good they were quite greasy and overpriced. My partner and I were lucky enough to get a tray each but again our burgers were nice but super oily and pricey - the thickshakes were nice though, and I did really love the cute packaging it came in. The staff were very friendly which is what I love to see, but it started to get a bit overwhelming at some points. When our food was ready, we stood up to get it but a waitress said "Don't worry, I'll get it!" and ushered us to sit down. This was nice and fine, but then we got asked by 3 different staff during our meal if we liked the food and 2 other staff later asking if they could take our trays. Additionally, we were given about 50 napkins and 6 menus for four people... It was just a bit over the top, but it's better than poor service I suppose. Overall, over $100 for 4 okay burgers and 4 okay drinks is probably not going to bring me back here personally, but I'd tell others to try it if they're...
