My friend (who is a nutritionist) and I visited this Cafe today for lunch. It was our first time visiting and it definitely exceeded our expectations. We were greeted by a friendly waitress (Mimi) in less than a minute and was quickly offered a choice of couch or chair seating, indoors or outdoors. We were quickly and comfortably seated with the menus pre prepared. She asked if we needed anything before leaving us alone for privacy and time to select.
It was so nice to see an extensive menu of choices and amazing variety of all sorts of proteins, veges, sauces etc - you name it, they have it. They also had a wide range of drinks from kid/family friendly cold and hot, coffees and if you were feeling a bit fancy with friends, they had some alcoholic drinks too.
We loved the interior decor, high ceilings, shelves of goods, billboard offering all sorts of milks under the sun, grab to go sweets and savouries as well as a board detailing where their fresh produce and coffee beans are from. We also loved the atmosphere of the place as many come for a work meeting. They provide a QR code to your table number or if you're not the social type, you can definitely QR your order, pay as you go and be left undisturbed.
I had the mushroom toastie that was such a delicious combo with the sea salt flakes, crunchy but soft bread that had been perfectly toasted with the gooey soft cheese. Definitely my go to! My friend had their Broccoli cutlet (?) which she absolutely loved especially the sauce. It was fresh, home cooked, well portioned and nutritious and she even commented on wanting to research and replicate it for home and clients. We also got their skin on fries. To be honest, when we heard chipotle mayo and black garlic ketchup, we were a bit sceptical as it's not the norm but after a couple dips, we wanted to take the sauces home with us.
Staff were super friendly with no dedicated waitress but everyone regularly came around and checked on us without being pushy and upselling more as some cafes do. Our food also arrived in less than 5 mins despite their busy tables. In the 50 mins we spent there, they had waves of customers but they never stopped checking on their dine in customers and continued to do so always smiling despite the stress they may have felt. There was no push either to eat, pay and leave. I am not local to the area but will definitely travel again with more friends. 11/10 - keep the...
Read moreThis cafe obviously has the ethos of supplying the best quality products and the freshest ingredients. They even list the suppliers so you can see where the food is sourced. My wife and I stopped in for brunch on our 40th Wedding Anniversary in January. We were impressed by the warm, friendly helpful staff and the efficiency of the service. The place was busy with workers in mini meetings, interviews and the like, as well as a good cross section of the population. My wife ordered the herb and sweet corn fritters ($23) served with poached eggs, avocado, roasted tomatoes, spiced brown butter, house labneh and soft herb salad, washed down with Earl Grey Tea ($5). She thought it a delicious and tasty meal. I ordered the Sausage Egg Muffin ($13), including Free range chicken and pork sausage, exquisitely folded eggs, American cheese, house mayo, on a sourdough English muffin. I added a portion of Potato Rosti ($4) to the meal. A totally enjoyable and delicious meal. I drank a large, soy, cappuccino ($5.80) which was superb. We completed our meal with two Little Secret Cakes ($13) which were a divine end to our meal. Brunch at this wonderful cafe is highly...
Read moreCame here on a rainy winter morning and the place wasn’t busy as we got here at 8 something. There’s plenty of seating and we were then quickly seated.
The server was polite and attentive enough to give us menus and asked us if we’d like anything to drink. As we were waiting for other friends to turn up we said no to food or drink order even though the server had asked a few times. Found it a bit pushy to ask us to order something. I went ahead and ordered a mocha for myself.
As for the items on the menu the food and drinks looked pretty standard. My friends had avocado toast and bacon and egg rolls. They both tasted good and the portion was decent. My friends couldn’t finish them and they shared some with me.
Overall I enjoyed the food and the atmosphere of the place. It’s nice and clean. Would love to drop by next time to try their brekkies if i happened to visit my...
