Coffeehood Cafe — Restaurant in Sydney

Went there today in the early afternoon and was greeted by the friendly manager. The cafe was nice and clean and the interior was very spacious. They serve Campos coffee, which I did not get to try this time around but certainly the aroma of the roast was very enticing.

I was pleasantly surprised at the variety of food on their menu. I ordered the pesto chicken sandwich with a side of sweet potato fries and the food was promptly delivered to my table. It was beautifully presented and the portions were certainly very generous. The sandwich itself was delicious, loaded with juicy, tender chicken fillets that were perfectly cooked and well-seasoned. The sweet potato fries were crunchy on the outside and fluffy on the inside!

I thought that the quality of the food, beautiful presentation and portion sizes were more than enough to rival other cafes with cult-like followings. Yet, the pricing on the menu is very cheap compared to other cafes that have accrued their reputation through bloggers and brunch-worthy Instagram influencers. Even if there was an increase in pricing, I would gladly still come to the cafe and think that I was receiving the tall end of the stick!

The Coffeehood Cafe serve a variety of dishes including Creamy Carbonara, Benny Delight, Acai Bowl, French Toast and Chicken Parmigiana. I haven’t seen carbonara on a cafe menu in the longest time and this definitely hits the creamy texture and taste. The Benny Delight is a classic but instead of bread, it is layered with vegetable fritters making it easier to eat underneath the egg and salmon. The Acai bowl was a little bit more watery than usual but overall it was refreshing with all the fruits. If you are feeling really hungry, go for the Chicken Parmigiana, the portion is pretty big and comes with chips.The French toast with matcha sauce and seasonal fruits was delicious. Under new management.

The team have turned around this place significantly and it is SO MUCH better than the old cafe.

The barista coffee is equal to the best in Chatswood and the new decor is fresh, stylish and comfortable.

The food is great with good portions and quality ingredients.

Our group had coffees, wraps, burgers, salads, juice and bottled drinks. Everyone was pleased.

The coffee is very well sourced and is an exceptional blend. Unique and well worth a try.

You’ve got to give this ‘under new management’ cafe a go. So incredibly different and much better than what it used to be with the old owners.
