I recently had the pleasure of dining at Memory Tongue Hotpot in Chatswood, and I must say it was a fantastic experience! From the moment I stepped in, I was greeted by a warm and inviting atmosphere. The restaurant had a modern and elegant decor that instantly made me feel comfortable.
The customer service at Memory Tongue Hotpot was exceptional. The staff members were friendly, attentive, and always ready to assist. They patiently explained the menu options and helped me navigate through the various choices available. Their knowledge and enthusiasm added to the overall enjoyment of the meal.
Speaking of the meal, the food at Memory Tongue Hotpot was absolutely delightful. The selection of ingredients was impressive, with a wide variety of fresh meat, seafood, and vegetables to choose from. The hotpot broths were rich and flavorful, offering a perfect balance of spices and aromatics. I particularly enjoyed the customizable dipping sauces that allowed me to create my own unique flavors.
In terms of value for money, Memory Tongue Hotpot exceeded my expectations. The portion sizes were generous, and the prices were reasonable considering the quality and variety of ingredients provided. It was a satisfying and filling meal that left me completely satisfied.

Read moreOkay, so we wanted to try something different for a family gathering of nine. We are a family who love Chinese, Thai, Vietnamese, Korean etc. It’s obviously a great restaurant for those who know the food that is served up here. For our family, there was probably too much offal on the menu and we should have done more research prior to booking. Something that we weren’t expecting but totally understand that this is very appealing to many people. Anyway, we ordered the banquet menu (attempting to avoid the offal). Some of the seafood comes frozen (scallops) and after placing in hotpot for a few minutes, still had frozen centre. A very different experience for us. There was more than enough food (too much actually). One other issue which dampened our celebration was that we booked for nine. When we arrived, we found that we had to split over two seperate tables which was disappointing as it was a family gathering. Unsure whether they have any larger tables or not. Not exactly the best birthday celebration when you are separated from each other. I guess it was just one of those experiences where I walked away unable to say that I loved it. Probably...
Read moreGiven the reviews, we expected the service to be a lot better. However, the service was attentive and we could get the attention of staff when needed but the kid who brought the dishes simply slapped it on the table without saying anything like he worked on a street noodle stall needs to go.
The food was fresh and well presented which was the main thing and the soup was rich too. The price was reasonable per dish and the condiments were good. I am happy that they gave us a booth as we made a booking.
There was a promotion on the table that if we rated the restaurant 5 stars on Google Reviews, we would get a plate of free meat (out of 3 listed), however, we forgot to mention this and did not get this deal. Also, $3 added for choosing to tap my card for payment was excessive.
Overall, $313 for a hotpot for 3 people was a bit steep given the other options available for that price range but this was partly our fault as get carried away. The other plus was that we needed to order on the App and they gave a running sub total of the dishes ordered, however it excluded the soup as there was a little bill shock when we got...
