So this place, I had been wanting to go for a while, finally made it. We went as a group of 3, and unless you know or understand the concept, it was pretty confusing. We were given a large pot (to share) and all 3 of us have different taste in sauces, so we had to just pick one combination instead of building the pot to our personal taste (like in hot pot) or with korean bbq, you can pick your own dipping sauce. There was ALOT of different bowls/plates items on the table and we were confused which was for what item. The staff did explain initally but you tend to forget if you haven't had much experience in this style of dining before.
We didn't realise the concept was to pour the water jug they have on your table into the pot with the sauce, as there was already some water in there, we thought that was enough, the sauce was too powerful and only after watching others, we realised what needed to be done. We also didn't realise once you have finished your "first" meal, you then can do the rice option, where you mix the white rice and condiments such as radish, kimchi and seaweed into the pot and have it like a Bimpbimpbap!
Drinks are not unlimited, you get the first on the house. Variety of buffet items are not huge. Overall a good experience, but probably wouldn't be jumping back there...
Read moreTteokbokki is good, icecream was not premium (I was expecting Connosieur level at least but they just had Peter's & Bulla which is fine but don't advertise it as premium) & the included softdrink is technically only 1 can of Pepsi or Pepsi Max. Whoever signed off on the advertising should be sacked! The KFC is not like you would get at a KFC restaurant, twigim was good, fried mandu was fine, didn't try the rice balls or the japchae or fried ricecakes on sticks). Fish cakes in broth on a stick were meh for me, non spicy broth was too mild. The staff were good about keeping you in the loop since the queue was long. The 20% discount was kindly applied for those who were past the limit (Max 100 people per session per day) but stayed in the queue for a relatively long time anyways. Overall I think it's still decently priced for what you get. I like being able to control the spice level since I personally can't handle much. I feel like maybe they need more staff to clear the tables quicker when there was still a line though? For me, 90min is not enough to have fried rice with the leftover sauce since we refilled 2 times. Restaurant is nice & clean. Staff need to keep an eye on the water bucket for the icecream station, needed changing more regularly...
Read moreOverall, a great buffet restaurant that offers a wide range of soup bases for their hotpot as well as an array of different ingredients to cook in your hotpot such as different types of tteok (rice cake), sliced meats, vegetables and noodles. There is also an option to cook different types of ramyeon/ ramen just by itself in case you don’t want any toppings with it. For ready to eat foods they have korean fried chicken, fried dumplings, pre- made rice balls, make your own fried rice and other small side dishes. They also offer unlimited soft drinks from their machine without extra charge which is a bonus as most buffet places don’t offer soft drinks unless you pay extra for them. For dessert they do have chocolate, vanilla and strawberry bulla ice cream. In short, the dining experience here was good, the variety of korean food was great and they replenished the food quite fast, so even though it’s busy, don’t fret as you will still be able to eat here without waiting for the food for too long. One thing they could add to the table set up is a mini bin to put things like chicken bones in as we ended up having to place them on the table as there was nowhere else...
