Glider Garden around Kings Cross is a real hidden gem! From the moment I arrived, I was impressed by the location — it’s easy to find and has a beautiful, sunny patio that’s perfect for relaxing, enjoying a meal, or just people-watching. The patio gets plenty of sun exposure, which creates a really welcoming and vibrant atmosphere, making it an ideal spot especially on a nice day.

One thing I really appreciated was how tourist-friendly it is: they have clear photos of their menu items along with the prices displayed right at the entrance. This makes it super easy for visitors who might not be familiar with the area to quickly get an idea of what’s on offer without feeling overwhelmed.

The food and drinks were absolutely amazing. I ordered the bacon, beans, and egg dish, and while it was very flavorful and hearty, I did find it slightly too saucy and a bit on the salty side for my personal taste. That said, it was still a satisfying and delicious meal. Drinks were fresh and beautifully presented, adding to the whole dining experience.

There were just a couple of very small things that could be improved — the table we were seated at was a bit sticky, which could be easily fixed with a quick wipe-down. However, these minor details didn’t take away from how much I enjoyed my time there.

The service deserves a special mention: it was absolutely fantastic. The staff were friendly, attentive, and made sure we felt welcomed and taken care of throughout our visit. Their positive attitude really added to the overall experience.

Overall, I absolutely loved Glider Garden and would highly recommend it to anyone visiting the Kings Cross area. Whether you’re after a relaxed brunch, a casual coffee, or just a sunny spot to unwind, this place is definitely worth a visit. I’ll definitely be...

Glider Garden,

We stumbled across the Cafe by accident and didn’t realise it would have been such a good hit - a happy coincidence!

Presentation: 9/10 • Very colourful to the eyes and flavourful to eat, this was certainly something we really enjoyed!

Venue: 8/10 • Venue was lively! Even though it was a rainy morning you could feel the business and warmth from the hospitality. The fit-out itself gives a bit of a hippie vibe, earth tones and very Thai with the incorporation of organic plants to add to the ambience

Food: 9/10 • We really enjoyed our meals that morning! It packs a punch and plenty of spice to excite your senses. Very hard to critique for more improvement, definitely on the right path!

Service: 9/10 • Very good service, friendly, approachable and they were on the ball making sure you’re checked on, all your cutlery is present and clearing away tables when dishes were finished. It was nice to see they’re aware

Overall, a great experience and tasty breakfast options! The coffee itself could use a bit of extra work to make it be smoother (maybe it’s the beans) and tastier. Aside from that, great contender amidst other high rated...

I recently visited Glider Garden and was disappointed to find out that they still use plastic straws despite the fact that they are banned in NSW. Although they had paper straws available they were not served to yes. When I mentioned this to the staff, they seemed to ignore my concerns and just didn't care.

As someone who cares deeply about the environment, I find it frustrating when businesses don't take responsibility for their impact on the planet and ignore environmental laws. Plastic pollution is a serious issue that affects our oceans and wildlife, and it's important that we all do our part to reduce our plastic consumption.

I cannot in good conscience recommend a restaurant that is contributing to this global problem. I urge the management to take immediate action and switch exclusively to eco-friendly alternatives, such as paper or metal straws. Until then, I will have to take my...
