Food is overpriced and not Hot at all, for example: a small "Hot Chips" is around $4, go next door to Oporto's and a small Chips costs approximately $2,50 and they put a lot more in the packet! Tried their Greek version of a "Borito" with fries, Sorry "Guzman y Gome" but a "BURRITO" with Salad, meat and Fries is Called a "" GYROS ""!! Your take on this item is a cheep "KNOCK OFF" a Greek fast food staple..! Apart from the imitation it is very tastless! Also the Taccos have hardly any meat all just lettuce..!!
To be honest I have had many occasions tried to give Guzman y Gomez a chance to win me over as it claims to be a healthy fast food alternative, but have failed on every occasion! Newton, Australia Square, Bondi Junction, Broadway, Cronulla, Darling Harbour, Kent Street, Kirrawee, Parramatta and so on and now in Marrickville have always disappeared me..!!!
Great for school children I gues who just go for the Craze and hype but I still have yet to find a Guzman y Gomez to say I got my money value or fed and satisfied.......!!
Also all the staff in the New store, and in most Guzman y Gomez stores, seem to rather talk to each other then serving customers whilst talking in "Spanish" quite Rude..!! All seem to be young international Students that don't understand much English! This I have found in many Guzman y Gomez!..
As mentioned I would love to be positive and give G &G a chance but have failed on every location and the Marrickville store is no...
Read moreTried this location a few times, so here's my findings: Poor to average service from most of the staff working here. The young tall bloke is lovely and efficient (blonde hair). However the young lady at the front is shocking (black hair). Every time I ask for beef I get stared at, and she has no idea what I am saying. The manager had to step in each time to translate. Pretty fast at serving the food, but I never visit during peak times so can't comment there. The food is average to alright. Convenient location and modern interior with seating. Do not eat here if you are Coeliac, they do not provide any Gluten Free Options. Finding this information was a struggle. I tried asking the staff on behalf of my mother and they could not explain clearly or properly, which means it's not worth the risk. What I have tried on the menu: Quesadilla was pretty good with spice and had some kick to it, which was a nice surprise. Fries are decent and seasoned well, but they never taste super fresh (oil might be a bit old) or piping hot. Burritos are filling, but lacking any spice when I asked for it every time. Burrito bowls are alright, but again, lacking flavour or any kick if I request spice. Overall very average...
Read moreI came here 4 times since it opened. The first two times food was amazing, I got the breakfast burrito and tacos and they were so so good. The second week I came back again, I got the big breakfast burrito and it was only okay, but had to wait for 20mins even though there were only 3 customers at the time. Went this morning again and bought breakfast burrito and I had to wait for nearly 20mins again, the manager was very nice to offer me free drinks to apologize. But then when i ate the burrito there was no hash brown, it was pretty cold too, the bread was very chewy, and there was very little of tomato. I can see the potential of this store, as long as they keep the quality of the food consistent all the time, not 1 day amazing and the other day bad. Staffs and manager are very nice, however the staff needs to be faster as I can feel that they are...
